While purchasing we need to consider few options , like is it certified by THX , ratings or reviews by users in Bluray forum etc etc like Imdb. Among the pirates of caribbean movies, only the first part excels and if you are in tight budget only buy first part, else go for entire trilogy which costs less in amazon. Main motto is whether we are able to enjoy or not. This disc satisfies you fully. Next time you go for shopping a blueray check out picture details, like is it grainy or remastering is properly done or not etc etc.... In Audio department checkout whether the disc complies the 44hz or / 192hz or 24bit /48bit details, which inturn depicts the depth of the sound. I love to buy any movie made in Dolby True HD

Picture and sound quality are great. Movie itself is enjoyable while it lasts. No lasting impressions.

As per the description this dvd should play on all regions. However, "The Curse of the Black Pearl" is not made for region 5 (India!). My dvd player does not play it ("check regional code"). I had to return it which is a hassle as you need to synchronize with the courier ...
