Does the job, but will it last?
Seems to be of good quality only time will tell.

Strong, Non-Rotating and Disassemable (is that a word?)
I have a Jet dust collector JET 708620B AFS-1000B 550/702/1044 CFM 3-Speed Air Filtration System with Remote and Electrostatic Pre-Filter that I wanted to fly over my table saw. I wanted it high and out of the way when not in use and also be able to lower it down to the table saw if I was sanding boards and wanted to suck the dust up. I put an electric cable hoist against the 15-foot ceiling and let the cable come down and through two of these pulleys and then back up to the ceiling. I can now control the height of the dust collector easily and change filters as needed, yet it's out of the way when not running. These pulleys are exactly what I wanted because they don't rotate, allow a bolt to go through the eye and have a removable pin so I can thread the cable through the pulley and then replace the pin. They are simple and strong. Exactly what I was looking for and they work great.

Works Great - Excellent Value
For $10.50, a great value. Works with 1/2" rope. Also, try to find these locally. Near impossible. I rated sturdiness as 3 star because I can't actually test function at the claimed 650 pound working load but I assume it is true. It will handle a LOT of load. The rope groove in the pulley wheel is deep and round-shaped; excellent for use with rope. The bearing is just a sleeve bearing on the pin; simple, effective but will produce more friction than a roller bearing at high loads. For general use it is an excellent product. I bought two more just to have around for the next "need a pulley now" project.

great pulley
heavy duty, and very smooth. I bought a pair of these to hang from my celing in the garage to hang weights from for doing lat pulldowns, triceps, etc. my only complaint is that it is hard to get the pin back into its hole after removing the wheel from the housing to put your rope or cable through. i ended up putting it in a vice to hold it together while i got the pin through, but that is the last time i will have to do that, so not really a problem for me.

Make sure your line can counter it wanting to flip over if you're using it for a dog run.
I got this because I have a cat that wants to go outside and we didn't want him to, so we compromised and I got him a 100ft run and set him up with a harness and a lead. I got this because the original line didn't have a pulley and it would get stuck. It works as intended and it's very sturdy. The only downside is my own fault really, I bought this to use upside down honestly and it's weight makes it want to flip over, but it does ok and when the cat is wandering around it does it's job and doesn't get stuck anymore. Added a photo of him hanging out with his buddy.

Quiet and Smooth unlike the cheapos at the home center
I once had a frozen shoulder, so my doctor sent me to one of those medical exercise centers. There, they had me pulling on rubber tubing and weights on a pulley. The cost was outrageous and after I learned the routines, I decided that hey I could device something at home that works just as well and won't cost me $45.00 a visit. First I went to Ace Hardware for the rubber tubing ... OUCH, it was expensive! $2.00 a foot, but still cheaper than the center. Then I went to Home Depot for a good pulley. However all they had were these cheapos which squeaked a lot and full of grease to keep them lubricated. The problem is the grease turned black and it got all over the rope I was using and onto my hands and ..oops my shirt. Aaaagh! A couple of bodylastics handles and I was good to go. The squeaking woke up my neighbor a couple of times since I set these up in my back porch, and I do all my bike riding (5 miles each day) and my exercises very early in the morning. About 7:30 a.m. So, I decided to replace the cheapo with this pulley and the thing is very quiet and works smoothly. I may be purchasing a couple more just for the heck of it ... LOL! Who knows, I may find other uses for it.

3" National Pulley
I originally bought four National 1 1/2" double pulleys to rig an eight-pulley block and tackle using 3/8" poly/nylon rope, but the system had too much friction and didn't operate smoothly. I replaced the pulleys with eight National 3" pulleys and now it works great. It is rigged for a 7/1 lifting advantage, ignoring friction. I just built a new garage that was designed with a 4' x 4' opening in the ceiling and floored above for storage. I use the block and tackle and a lifting platform to move stuff into and out of the storage area. I have to pull a lot of rope (about 90') to lift or lower the platform, but I can move heavy items with ease. I did a lot of looking before settling on National pulleys and found them to be the best quality per dollar out there.
