I bought this as a backup for my ACE 350 and for my grandson to also use. I like the number readout and the discrimination. I have found more coins and several tokens with this detector. I am still getting use to the numebers and sounds. The coil protector is annoying because it collects a lot of debris on the top and inside which requires cleaning out while huntingI have dug a lot of pull tabs but then they are treasure to a friend. She saves them for her grandchildren's school. All and all This was a very good buy. Garrett does make quality detectors at a decent price for all types of hunters.

I was hoping for a detector I could use on the beach and leave in FL for our visits there. My fault was in being too eager and not doing my own research before hitting the purchase button. This is a very fine machine but does not have the multi frequency capabilities needed for hunting past the high tide mark. A nice man walking by, using a larger detector, helped me adjust my metal detector to it wasn’t as spastic at the watermark, and I did enjoy the hell out If it. I have a couple of Whites at home, one multi, one not, so you’d think I’d know better. Regardless, I’d buy this again in a heartbeat for dry sand and dirt digging. I miss it.

If you choose this one because of the “carrying case”, know that you will be disappointed. NOT INCLUDED.

Great for beginners!!!!! I received mine today and have never used a detector before, read directions (skimmed). Watched a YouTube video and went in backyard to try. Wife found 2 pieces of aluminum while I was still setting up the pin pointer. Found 10 penny’s buried about 6-8 inches, a big metal hook, an old bottle cap and a nail that was buried ~9 inches in first half hour. This thing is awesome. A lot of fun. Can’t wait to really dig into settings and learn to use it properly.

This is a fun and easy device to use. Already locating various metal objects in the yard. Quality built

Went four times in my back yard with my $90 detector found one quarter, one dime two pennies. Went with this detector and found three quarters, four dimes six pennies going once. Better quality

I might have given it a better rating if the instruction manual had been worth a darn. Before you use it watch a couple of videos on YouTube and your experience will be better.
