Very satisfied! Outstanding lenses
I was initially unsure whether I should purchase from Amazon Japan, but the product I got is far beyond my expectation. The package of the lenses is completely undamaged and everything inside looks neat and intact. Even if you pay for faster international shipping, the total price is still much cheaper than the option for the same lenses that ships from US, so I don’t see an option not to purchase this one. The most astonishing part is that I only get the product for two days! It is amazing how efficient the international logistics is. You also get the invoice in Japanese which is quite cool.

So far so good!
Ordered from Japan. Invoice was in japannese. The lens came very quickly i was surprised you could ship stuff from across the world in less than 2 weeks. I have not tested it yet. But it seems very nice to hold. zoom ring is a little stiff but that is good as it prevents creep and will probably get less stiff with time.

A-OK except for aperture ring
First what I don’t like: the “aperture ring” appears to be an incremental encoder rather than a true aperture ring. It acts exactly an assigned thumbwheel on one of Fuji’s no aperture ring lenses. There are no aperture makings on this lens because the would be meaningless. Just like the focus ring on most fuju lenses it just sends a signal back to the body and the body controls the lens. I suppose there may be a weight/size/cost benefit. At least when I want to change the aperture I reach for the same spot as on my lenses with real aperture rings. Everything else is dandy. It is smaller, lighter and less expensive than the xf50-140mm and xf100-499mm. These other lenses can do something this one cannot, but not many. It is also a big bigger than the xf55-200mm. When zoomed to 70mm length it is not over conspicuous. After initial use my experience is that the AF is fast and accurate. (Depends in part on the body that used, of course.) Keeping the zoom range in mind I noticed no image quality issues, though I suppose with proper instrumentation and analytical procedure you could find something. But if you are not consciously looking for an imperfection you won’t spot one. The lens is compatible with Fuji’s 1.4x teleconverter.

Highly recommended
Fuji sure knows how to make lenses. The image stabilization in this lens is incredible. Images are perfectly sharp at all apertures. The 16 to 80 focal length makes it a perfect all around lens. Bokeh is very nice shooting at f/4. I did an entire senior session with only this lens. I highly recommend it

I LOVE this lens. It's now my main walk around, go-to all rounder, and it's stunning - image quality, handling, and build wise. I also have the 18-55 so I'm well aware of the differences between the two. I wasnt sure about buying this lens after reading all the comments about how big and heavy it is, but frankly if you value image quality over versatility and can afford the extra, the choice is a no brainer. In terms of size its considerably lighter than the Nikon 17-55 I used with DSLRs, and I dont find its size the issue others make out. It is quite a wide lens, but I find that makes it nicer to hold when shooting - it just feels good and, well, solid. (Slight caveat - I do have big hands). The lack of OIS isn't a deal breaker for me either although it would be a nice option. The fixed 2.8 aperture goes some way to cancel the need out, but then that's why this lens is the size it is. I've found that the difference in image quality between the 18-55 and the 16-55 is visible - even without pixel peeping - this lens is sharper at low apertures and exhibits better contrast in most lighting situations. It's truly a professional grade lens and feels reassuringly like it wont let you down. I always find one lens in my kit that stays on the camera most of the time, and the 16-55 is it. Overall I'd say if you were choosing between the 18-55 and the 16-55 and you value image quality over versatility, it's no contest.

Sono molto soddisfatto. Veloce, silenzioso e preciso.

Altamente recomendable. Fujifilm no defrauda

Un todo en uno, muy buena para hacer tomas de calle y zoom, con buena iluminación. Es grande y pesado, pero mejor que estar cambiando lentes cuando viajas.

I want to ask the seller if this lens is re-furbished?! Because when i tried to use it, the camera started blinking and not working focusing and stock on f zero! It means the lens pin-line has been damaged! Please reply asap.
