Q: Will this work for a 100 lb bag?

I have it on my 100 lb bag and it works as advertised.

Q: Since the rings are open ended, does it slip off with heavy boxing?

I have used the ring on a 70 pound bag for 3 years and it never has slipped off no matter how hard the bag is hit or how much it rocks back and forth.

Q: Should the spring be placed above or below the Swivel? I've heard and seen both.

I put my spring over the swivel, works fine for me.

Q: I am having a problem finding a bag spring that works with my heavy bag stand. How many millimeters is the thickness of the metal of this spring?

Approximately 5 millimeters thick. I have this spring hanging from my basement joist with a 70 lb Everlast bag hanging from it. Spring supports with ease, but cannot say how it would perform with a heavy bag stand.
