Buyer Beware
Ordered this product and was able to use it for two days. So far, so good. Feels nice on the skin and all that. On the 3rd day, I picked up the cylindrical glass bottle and it slipped from my hand, careening towards my tile bathroom floor before shattering into a thousand tiny pieces. Gobs of liquid went everywhere and minuscule glass shards flew in every direction. My wife and I spent 30 minutes scouring the bathroom floor on our hands and knees (with towels under us for protection) trying to pick up all the pieces. Then I spent another 5-10 minutes digging glass shards out of the bottom of my foot, because apparently we missed a few. No doubt that glass is very cool, very sleek. Gives the bottle some heft and makes it look more expensive. But, you know what glass doesn’t go well with? Hard surfaces. Like all the ones in a bathroom (unless you have one of those groovy carpeted bathrooms from the 70s). Take a quick look around your bathroom - other than perfume / cologne bottles, how many things are made of glass? Probably not many and for this exact reason. The stuff inside the bottle seems pretty decent, but I’ll never know because I spent $40 for a glass bottle that slipped out of my hand on the 3rd day and shattered like the multiverse in that recent Marvel movie. Is it my fault? Sure. Does it still suck? Yep. Advice for buyers? Only handle this thing with two hands. If you happen to be one-handed, enlist a friend. Advice for the manufacturer? If you’re going to go with glass, go with something more shatter-resistant or at least reshape your bottle in a way that it has at least some chance of survival from a 3 foot drop by not being a perfect cylinder that has no safe impact points. The stuff inside is probably pretty decent, but as 98% of it ended up on my floor after Day 3, I can’t give a full review.
