How do you keep sheets/towels/blankets from blowing off (outdoors) since you can't use clothes pins?

On days that are windy I hang them over the bar and put a clothes pin securing both sides together under the bar. I’ve also used the hangers with the clips on each side and use one hanger for each end of the sheet and you can add one in the middle too for a blanket. The little hanger clamps that come with it are great because they keep your hangers from sliding into each other on windy days. I love my drying rack, this is the best one I’ve owned

Can you accidentally extend it too far and have it fall apart, or is there a built in stop to keep that from happening?

It does have a stop on both sides of the upper bars. In fact, you just did me a favor. Because of your question I decided to try and see if it did and now I’ve got almost double the hanging space. LOL! The only downside is that the plastic clips that work like clothes pins don’t hold up. The heat make them brittle and will break. Rather than leaving them on the bar set them aside, maybe in a small bag hanging from the bar. I love this drying rack and use it all the time. I will be going to the hardware store to see if I can find a clip that will work to replace the ones that are broken.

How much weight can it hold?

It will hold my wet bedspreads easily. For large items I use both upper bars. It is very stable. It could definitely hold a wet rug.

I feel stpid asking but How are plastic hooks put on?

You hang "hangers" in the holes, so the clothes do not blow all together in the wind. look at the pictures in the description.

Sturdy

I opened the box dreading the assembly. It was already assembled! It didn't take long to get it opened up. Nice and sturdy, love that it folds up to save space when not in use. So glad I purchased this. It will get a lot of use.

Light and Portable

I love how fast I can set this up and break it down. Little room required to store it. I keep it behind my bedroom door. Use it on my back porch instead of using my dryer. It's large enough to dry a load of clothes, or eight bath sheets, or one king size sheet. I put my clothes on a hanger and them hang them on the rack to dry. I live in a very sunny and hot place so can use it all year round. Plan to take it camping as it folds up. is light weight, and would be a great way to hang up clothes and towels at a campground. Over-all I am very satisfied and have used it for over a year.

Horrible drying rack

It is the worst drying rack. The setup is hard to do by yourself, you need two people pulling at each end. Then to lock it in place cut my finger trying to put it in lock position. The other thing is when I went to put my comforter on to dry the blanket got caught on the lock and it tore a hole in the blanket. I would not recommend this particular drying rack.I have bought another drying rack before but they no longer have it in stock so I bought this one and boy big mistake on me.

A little flimsy

The rack is a bit flimsy almost need two people to set up. Once you put up and get items on it can’t be moved legs become unstable or if you expand to full width the middle begins to sag just don’t put anything to heavy on it. Otherwise it does the jobupdate: when taking this rake down it was so flimsy it twisted and made the brackets bend.

Worth the money

Bought this product over 3 years ago and its still holding up strong. I live in Maine and leave it out all year round even in the winter. It has a little rust at the hinges but that doesnt bother it while closing or opening it.
