Handy way to dispense oats to my parakeet Skittles’ cage tray. They appear to be good quality oats and because they come in a jar, they are not accidentally broken as so often happens with those packaged in cellophane bags.

This product arrived in good shape, the seeds seem fresh without any dust or mold. There's a lot in a good sized container so I expect it to last me a while. I got this to offer more variety to my budgie for treats / training rewards. He's pretty scared of new things. After several different attempts, he got over his fear enough to try these and now he LOVES them! He seems to enjoy working the oat out of the seed hull and then playing with the empty hull until I hand him another. Makes for a good training reward when I want something slightly less messy than spray millet. The empty oat hulls don't scatter everywhere like millet does. These are also great for a foraging toy for keeping my budgie busy.

My cockatiel loves these Oats & Groats treat. He goes nuts for them. They are fresh, & I won't buy him any other, but the Kaytee brand. I find Kaytee to be the freshest. I normally would give this item 45 stars, but opted to give it 4 stars because this item is way overpriced, but it was the only Kaytee Oats & Groats I could find. If it weren't for the fact that my Sydney loves this brand so much, I probably wouldn't have bothered, but I won't deprive him of something that he loves for money. There really is no reason for this item to be so over priced, but we all no why, make no mistake. So, it's a great product & always the freshest from Kaytee, but not a very good value for the size bottle. If I can find it cheaper elsewhere, & will purchase it elsewhere. I would expect 2 or 3 bottles for the price I used to pay 1/3 the price for the same size bottle.

Great bird treats. My two parakeets who have missed no meals go right for this seed when I fill their feed dishes. It never goes to waste.

What can I say except my macaw and eclectus LOVE them!!!! It's plan ole nuts and cherries. Not large pieces so would be good for most birds of all sizes, but just large enough my macaw can pick up the pieces. Both my birds start calling out "cracker" at lunch time until I give them some. If you open that cupboard, my macaw starts in on "cracker?" then too LoL Guess I can never let us run out. Good thing the price is right as if I'm careful I can make a jar last a week.
