I use these all the time for tarp setup when camping, and they work great. Have had them for about 3 years and no signs of rust, though they have weathered many storms.

They work great. In about 20 minutes I had a tarp set up on the side of my car in 30 mph or possibly higher wind gusts. They stayed up. I was pretty proud of myself for the first time trying let alone the darn wind.

We used the poles to hold up a screen shade over a pool. The tension of the shade bent one pole and was unable to telescope back into place. Use with caution if you will have lots of tension on the rods.

Very happy with these poles. They are made of high-grade anodized aluminum and sturdy built. I use them to support a tarp that I attach to the side of my small travel trailer to provide shade and rain protection. Each pole allows you to attach two or more staked support lines to the top of it at different support angles. A total of 4 support lines and four stakes are included in the box, which come in a separate zippered pouch. I found the four stakes to be too short to stand up to the stress of strong winds, so I bought some cheaper 9 inch stakes (that look like telephone pole nails) from Harbor Freight that will allow the poles to hold fast in inclement weather conditions. The zippered carrying case for the poles is also well made of high quality materials.

These poles do their job but if they are in rain you will need to drain them afterwards. Not the biggest issue but they can get rusty if they go back in the bag without being completely dry

I bought a 4 pack of poles and less then a week in one pole no longer locks on the bottom. Few days later another pole doesn't lock on the top. YouTube videos showed me how to take apart to fix them but I shouldn't have to after only 2 weeks of use

The supplied steaks are not very good but the poles did the job.
