I compared 4 different Grass fed whey concentrate & isolate powders. . . NutraBio Wins!
I have been on the hunt for the perfect protein powder for well over a year now. I've gone back and forth between plant based protein (NorCal Organics unflavored pea protein is my favorite in that category), egg white protein (toss up between Jay Robb and Designer Protein - but there isn't an egg white protein on Amazon that I could find that uses cage free eggs) and whey protein. For the last year I have been undergoing an attempted body recomposition with my goal being a total transformation by my 40th birthday (a year from this week). I started lifting weights for the first time in my life a year ago and eating clean/tracking my macros. I gave up sugar, and dairy (mostly) and eat very low carb. I have made great progress but still have a way to go to meet my body fat percentage goal. The thing about having intense goals is that the closer you get to them, the more you have to dial everything in to get there.Besides just diet and exercise, a big part of my journey has been re-learning how to supplement and dialing in my nutrition to "optimal" instead of just really good. During the last year, I have learned a LOT. As it pertains to protein powder (which I need to hit my daily protein macro while maintaining a caloric deficit) I have discovered that the best bang for my buck in terms of building and maintaining muscle mass, getting the most nutrition out of every calorie I consume and other factors like taste and mixability, whey has come out the clear winner. I avoided it initially because I am sensitive to lactose, but the more I learned, the more I realized that whey is where it's at, and if you get a high quality, GRASS FED, ultra filtered whey isolate, there is no lactose and sensitivity isn't an issue at all. Additionally, it mixes and tastes better than pea and you can find grass fed whey powders but not cage free egg powders. So grass fed whey is my choice, but within that category there are different types as well (ie. concentrate vs isolate). For those of you wondering what the difference is, allow me to give a brief explanation. Concentrate is the most common and least expensive. Whey protein is made by filtering milk and drying the whey protein. Concentrate stops after this first filtering process. Isolate on the other hand undergoes further filtering that removes up to 90% of the lactose, carbs and fats, leaving it with a higher protein content per gram and less of everything else. It is absorbed more quickly, and the next to zero lactose makes it a great choice for people who are sensitive. I started out trying TerasWhey Simply Pure Grass Fed whey concentrate, then tried SFH Pure Whey concentrate and then Garden of Life Sport Certified Grass Fed Whey isolate, followed by NutriBio grass fed 100% whey isolate. All chocolate flavor. Taste and mixability were all about the same, so let's compare the price and nutrition facts of each:Price -teraswhey: $29.99 / 24 oz can (24 servings) - $1.18/ozSFH: $49.99 / 31.6 oz bag (28 servings) - $1.56/ozGarden of Life isolate: $35 / 23.28 oz tub (20 servings) - $1.23/ozNutraBio isolate: $49.99 / 2lb tub (30.1 servings) - $1.56/ozServing size -teraswhey: 28gSFH: 32gGarden of Life: 33gNutraBio: 30.10gCalories -teraswhey: 110SFH: 130Garden of Life: 120NutraBio: 110Protein -teraswhey: 20gSFH: 22gGarden of Life: 24gNutraBio: 25gFat -teraswhey: 2gSFH: 2gGarden of Life: 0.5gNutraBio: 0gCarbs -teraswhey: 5g (4g net)SFH: 4g (3g net)Garden of Life: 6g (4g net)NutraBio: 1g (1g net)Additional ingredients are similar (ie. stevia, cocoa powder & sunflower lectin etc.), but NutraBio contains the least amount of additional ingredients. It should also be noted that NutraBio is the only one that derives its protein 100% from whey isolate whereas Garden of Life derives 91% from whey isolate and 9% from milk protein. NutraBio uses Stevia and Monkfruit as sweeteners while Garden of Life uses Stevia and Erythritol. As you can see, NutraBio provides the BEST protein bang for your buck per gram, in a smaller serving size, less fat and carbs and with the highest quality ingredients. If you're looking for the lowest calorie, lowest carb, lowest fat, highest quality grass fed whey protein on the market, you'd be hard pressed to find better than this NutraBio. This is why it has become my go to protein powder that I will continue to use. Yes, it is more expensive, but the slightly higher price is definitely worth it to me when you compare the details. My only complaint is that they don't yet offer it in Amazon Subscribe and Save! I would put it in my monthly subscriptions for sure.I sincerely hope this review helps someone else! And yes, I pay full price for it. Feel free to ask any questions!

Healthy choice
I absolutely love this high-quality protein! It doesn’t cause any breakouts or digestive issues, which is a huge plus for me. I also appreciate that it’s not as sweet as many other off-the-shelf protein powders, making it a perfect fit for my taste preferences.

Great Muscle building dessert
I can't say enough about this protein powder, not only does it taste great but easily mixes without needing to blend. I use plant based milk and use this as my night time bed snack after strength training workout. It may be a little pricey for some but you pay for quality. It is grass fed isolate so that's expected.

Feels Pure & Tastes Great
This has a very pure feeling and taste to it. Nothing chemical or off. It mixes up beautifully to create a creamy drink. I whip mine up with a banana and unsweetened almond milk. Truly great.

Not as good as it used to be
This product has gone up in price drastically over the last several years while the quality seems to have declined. It used to mix with the milk in the blender bottle but not as much anymore. Decent taste.

TRUSTED PROTEIN
This is a protein you can trust! The company has third party testing and they publish their test and analysis on their website for you access and see for yourself. Everything this protein powder depicts on it label is the real deal. Its the only protein poweder I trust. Now as for taste. Its awesome. But it depends what you mix it with. Water, it's tolerable but not so great, unless you're absolutely trying to cut all carbs and sugar out. Almond milk is great and Cows milk is the best tasting but of course cows milk comes with carbs and sugar, just keep that in mind. I have tried both the vanilla and chocolate and for me chocolate was king. I'm not saying the vanilla one taste bad, it doesn't, but I just found the chocolate version more enjoyable. I hope this helps, cheers!
