Serviceable for the price
I bought this phone and service for temporary use while in an area where my usual provider has zero service and I heard that AT&T did; the phone works well enough for basic everyday use, and for the price it's hard to beat. It's not fast, and it takes terrible pictures, and the screen isn't great and neither is the touch sensitivity... but for, what, 50 bucks or something, you can't expect much.I verified that AT&T works in my remote location and after about a month and a half committed to buying a better phone for the service... but this phone worked in a very basic manner up until then.

Not much storage for apps
This was my second purchase of the same phone- first one kept freezing (after repeated drops on the floor).Good, basic phone for calls and text. Wireless works well when connected to network. Calls dont have great signal, but Internet very fast.Phone has lots of automatic apps loaded- had to disable / delete ongoing. Not much storage- have to constantly delete google, facebook data to clear up space, but good for basic use.Videos stream clearly- sound is good.

but I just think that this phone is made of poor quality for it to stop working in less than ...
Update 10/3/17:AT&T sent a replacement phone on behalf of Alcatel (but only a phone with no back nor a battery). This phone only worked for not quite 2 weeks. So we called AT&T back and they stated that the battery must have a defect. The AT&T rep. stated that they did not have a battery in stock and she checked with the manufacturer Alcatel and they did not have a replacement battery either and that the battery was hard to find. She started that they could give us a $25 credit on our bill or to put towards the purchase of another phone... but uh.... we paid $38 for it! So AT&T and Alcatel, are just selling phones that are no good and should be discontinued and won't give customers a full refund back when they can't replace it. At any rate I told the AT&T rep. that's not going to work for me cause I'll have to file a BBB claim if that's the only solution; so she transferred me to the manufacturer, Alcatel. The Alcatel rep. said they don't get out any refunds ever... but that they did have access to the battery and ordered us a new battery... so it should arrive within 7-10 business days. I still give this phone a one star (zero stars if I could), because of all the trouble it's put us through. Hopefully, the new battery will give us a little justice, smh. Buyer Beware!!First Review:I purchased this phone for my husband and it stop working in less than 3 months. It was still under the 1 year manufacturing warranty for repair or replacement. However, we didn't use it as a GoPhone, because we have an AT&T plan so we just had a store location put in a regular SIM card (instead of the Go SIM card that came with the phone). At any rate, when it stop working we called the AT&T customer service number located in the terms & conditions book that came with the phone and they had our account info on file. They told us that we could just mail it in to Alcatel and go through the long warranty process with them directly (which would most likely take over 2-3 weeks.... meaning my husband without a phone for an extended period of time) or they (AT&T) could just send us a new phone and then we must send the broken one to them so that they can send it off to the Alcatel manufacture to complete the warranty process for us. By going through AT&T, my husband could get the new phone in 2-3 days.... but, there was a catch (of course). AT&T said that once they receive the old phone and send it in to Alcatel, that if Alcatel determines that the phone had liquid or physical damage or wasn't packaged correctly when mailing it off, then Alcatel would not repair or replace the phone. And if Alcatel does not repair/replace the old one, AT&T will charge $64 to our account for the new phone they are sending us (even though they back this product, thus the big AT&T GoPhone logo on the packaging). We only paid $38 bucks for the new one that we bought in the first place! Not that my husband caused liquid or physical damage to the phone, but you never know what these manufactures will claim, just to get out of repairing or replacing their products and AT&T doesn't want to take the cost either (that's why we are taking pictures of the phone before sending it off). Nevertheless, we went with AT&T's option (because he can't wait 2-3 weeks for a repaired/replacement phone), but I just think that this phone is made of poor quality for it to stop working in less than 3 months. Now, if things don't go as they should (meaning we get a free replacement), then we would have paid a total of $102 for this cheap phone. We just put in the claim for the new phone today.... so I'll make an update review, if things don't go well for us. I'm hoping they will... otherwise its a you get what you pay for type of deal.

and the touchscreen is adequate at best. If this were 2009
Needed an adaptor piece - my previous GoPhone was a nanosim and required a $5 adaptor piece. Not thrilled. The phone out of the box is slow, many gaming apps won't run or are sluggish, and the touchscreen is adequate at best. If this were 2009, it would be a great phone. However, it is not. For the price point, there are far better options out here. Do not buy this product, if you want a smartphone there are better ones out here and if you just need to talk and text a flip phone will cost 20% of the price....won't play Pokemon GO. That is my biggest pet peeve.
