I am a beginner and I bought these for my new salsa dance class. Realized I needed them because tennis shoes just don’t work! I bought these because they were inexpensive and had leather uppers and they were the best price I could find. I didn’t want to spend a lot just in case I didn’t continue with the classes. Needless to say, I love these shoes! They are so comfortable and they have just enough slide on the bottom that I can make really nice turns. I did measure my foot to the quarter inch and that’s how I bought my shoes and they fit perfectly.

I bought these jazz shoes for dance classes, and they’ve been excellent so far. They slip on easily, fit snugly, and provide just the right amount of support and flexibility for movement. Pros: Soft leather feels comfortable and molds to the foot with wear. Split sole design allows for great flexibility while dancing. Easy slip-on style with elastic sides—no hassle with laces. Lightweight yet supportive—perfect for practice or performances. Affordable compared to studio prices for dance shoes. Cons: Sizing runs a bit small—going up a half to full size is recommended. Not much cushioning, so they’re best for studio floors rather than long wear. Overall, these are reliable and comfortable jazz shoes at a good price. They’ve made my practices easier, and I’d definitely recommend them to dancers of any level.

I owned a pair of identical dance shoes a few years ago but got rid of them bc I just wasn’t dancing anymore. When I started back, I needed a new pair, so I purchased what I thought would be an item that was comparable in quality and fit. That wasn’t the case. Despite my hesitation, Amazon recommended an 8.5 for me, but when I got them, they were so big on my feet that I had at least a 1/2” gap between the shoe and my ankle, and the length made me feel like I was wearing clown shoes. Maybe worst of all is that they seem to have no shape nor curve to them at all—as if both were cut from the same pattern (not made for R foot NOR L foot). It was VERY odd. Very wonky. Neither fits my foot like a regular shoe. It’s more like putting my foot into a stranger’s (old-school) Dutch wooden clogs. The padding is zero. Literally zero. The only good things I can say about these are that, after returning and getting a full size smaller, the new size finally stayed on my foot, and they do allow me to move easily across the floor without being too (dangerously) slick. I’m overall disappointed with the quality of these shoes. They work okay for casual dance and exercise at home, but the $30 price tag seems awfully high for such poor quality. If you need real dance shoes for an actual class or a performance, I don’t think you should choose these. I really wanted to leave a positive review, but I just couldn’t find much positive to say. 😕

Loved the shoes! I'm not a dancer but I'm wearing them as flats. The seller was super diligent in connecting with me to make sure I understand how to measure. I just based it on the measurement when I put a tape measure to my foot. Since I'm wearing this as an "everyday shoe" I've put in some insoles which have made them a bit tighter but the leather will eventually adjust. Happy with my purchase!
