Replaced broken washer pump with loose impeller
2010 Kenmore vertical modular washer stopped draining water. Could hear the pump spinning without pumping water out. This replacement pump fit perfectly and fixed the problem. Photo of bottom of washer with washer pump removed. Rubber seal on pump goes into plastic opening with 6 pointed star. pump outlet goes into drain hose secured by spring clamp. Can view a YT video "How to Replace the Drain Pump on a Kenmore Vertical Modular Washer (VMW)" After replacing the pump was able to repair the old pump by drying the impeller and filling it with hot melt glue before pressing back on the motor but can't say how long this might work.
