Q: Just received mine, and the amount of shampoo in the container sits right beneath the top of the label. Is that normal, or could it be mis-packaged?

It's normal. If you follow the instructions on the back the shampoo will last the same amount of time as conditioner. As you are only suppose to shampoo once every other day and condition everyday. I received mine like that as well.
