it has very sharp edges! got the palm of my hand cut just by unpacking those. It wasn't too deep of a cut tho but long enough to be a hassle when writing or doing anything with that hand. So be aware of that, work around was to use scotch tape over the edges, doesn't look cool but it's safe and does it's job

Doesn’t match in specifications, and it’s not even close to the other cap barbel plates I have. Sharp edges in the hand grip areas and circumference was smaller then my other cap plates. These must be seconds or a B stock item.

There is not much to say about cast iron weights. They need to be accurate. With that said, the CAP 45 lbs weights have fantastic quality when you consider the cost. On the ones I received I did not encounter any sharp edges that often arises on low cost cast iron weights and the polished finish is quite nice. I have bought CAP weights before (2.5 lbs, 5 lbs, 10 lbs, 25 lbs & 35 lbs) and found similar quality on all of them. If you are looking for economical good quality cast iron weights you won't go wrong purchasing CAP.

They do the job and they were a good price. I primarily bought them because they were available and plates have been hard to get, but I wouldn't buy again. The main reason is the design. They are larger in diameter and narrower on thickness than standard 45 lbs plates. This makes them a little bit of a pain to load/ unload a bar on the ground for deadlifts with my existing "standard" 45s. It isn't terrible, but it is an irritation every time.

I ordered 5s and 10s. The 10lb plates are great for the most part, with smooth edges, but one of them came with a 3/8 inch thick glob of the enamel coating or something around the center hole, which would have prevented it from laying flush against the barbell or spring clamp and wobbling around. I chipped it off with a knife. No big deal. For the 5lb plates, one is in acceptable condition but has rough edges inside the grip holes. The other one is a total quality control fail with jagged edges and a very bumpy finish. It has so many manufacturing defects that I have no idea how the company thought it was okay to sell it. I am probably going to return the 5s and pay more for a better brand. For future weight purchases, I'm going to get stuff that I can see in person before buying it, rather than having to chip off enamel globs myself and basically pay retail price for seconds that didn't pass quality control.

The weight plates are exactly as described and for the price they are a nice set. The reason I gave this brand 3 stars is because I ended up a little disappointed in the quality they arrived. By the time I took them out of the package they are chipped pretty bad already, Hopefully they are new.. lol my guess is the coating that gets applied isn't as resilient as I thought. Maybe I should of just purchased urethane weight plates instead.

I love these for my home gym. They have handles and have therefore been easy to change on my barbell or to use for rows or warm-up exercises. There is a little extra give, more than normal, so there's more of a clink when you're moving the weight. So if you're OCD about that, you may disapprove of these. But I feel that these are a great value so I plan to build up my collection to 10 plates as I get back into things after being out of the gym because of the pandemic. Please leave some for me 😅

I've bought several pairs of these plates for my home gym and I have no complaints! They weigh what they're supposed to and fit my bar perfectly, as they should. I only count off one star because the packaging they arrived in was pretty beat up, and the edges of the boxes were taped multiple times, making them a little challenging to open. But oh well. These are perfect for my setup, so I'm happy.

These weights work great no issues.
