does it have to be removed later?

Yes it needs to be removed about a week later. The calf/cow should have righted their rumen by then, according to my vet. But ask your vet, they may have a different opinion.

Yes they are reusable, if I remember right you should take them out after a week or two they are made of very thick plastic, just clean them real good and disinfect them, they have good instructions with them

Good to have on hand.

I fortunately have not had to use them but sure glad I have them fir emergency use. Just lost a sweet animal because I did not have them and no vet would come. Great preparation tool.

Let me degas you

Have you ever stabbed a cow with a giant piece of super sharp plastic? No, than these are not for you.Haven't had to use yet, hopefully wont have to. End is sharp, and size is excellent for medium to large cattle. Would be reluctant to utilize on a calf.
