The product worked perfectly. I used it for a different purpose than what you would normally use it for. I used it to replace a broken cable on an electric door opener on a safe. It was perfect and I have opened and closed the safe now more than 200 times and it is working perfectly. I thought it would stretch out overtime but that has not been the case. I highly recommend this product.

I get the 60 lbs. black coated wire and trim to 6' sections. Add size 6/0 to 9/0 Circle Hooks on one end and a Swivel on the other end using two AFW Sleeves size 4L. I have a Knipex CoBolt Companct Bolt Cutter which I use to cut the Leader as close to the hook as possible if I can not remove the hook.I also use this same leader on my Muskie lures.Be well.

...this is a great solution to the problem of toothy bluefish breaking traditional fluorocarbon leaders & losing a nice lure. I was impressed how thin the 40lb braid is, and also how well a simple clinch knot holds. Haven't had a knot come undone yet. Takes a little trial & error to figure how many wraps work best for a knot. It can fray a little while tying a knot, which makes it a little more challenging, but over all, I'm real happy with this product & will buy it again.

I was pretty surprised at the cost of the leader wire when I saw how little was on the spool. It cost roughly $1.00 a foot. The last spool I bought from a former AFW competitor was $ .30 a foot, sometimes less.

Great for big catfish leaders. I mostly now use sleeves and crimp the wire. It works better than expected.

The best wire for fly fishing for pike. I have always used the 13-lb which is easily knottable. I have never had a bite off. Expensive but worth it. I have tried several other types of wire and this is easily the best. Must use wire cutters and not nippers or scissors. The 13-lb does not sink bass poppers.
