Works great
I am putting up drywall in my basement with a drill.Sometimes I would leave a screw head out too far or rip the paper going in to much.I tried one first. They work really nice put the head in low enough to not scrape and dimpled enoughto mud the screw in evenBut the Philips head would get worn after I would spend a long time (lots of sheets)using the drill. So I bought a pack of 5 way better. When one starts spilling just change it.

Sinks drywall screws perfectly
This bit was exactly what I needed to properly seat drywall screws for some patches I was doing. It works fine with my cordless driver/drill. It's a good, cheap alternative to a screw gun for those of us who don't do drywalling all day every day. Now I just need to figure out how not to lose the tiny thing, like the last one I bought :-)

Don’t tear the paper surface
Worked well as long as you keep drill perpendicular to the surface and apply pressure until bill starts to slip. I was working by myself and having g to balance drywall screws and drill - and as a result- many screws were slightly proud of the surface. Switched to normal philips and had to a half to full turn. Still very handy

Its a consumable, you will need more than one
I used these to drywall a small divider wall. They were pretty handy. Only 25% of my screws were perfectly set. The other 75% went in a little crooked but thats user error not the tool. They do wear out rather quickly but its because of the way they work. If you want one that will last longer you need to get a real drywall screw gun.

rywall screw setter
It limits how much the drywall screw can go into the drywall - a real asset if you have ever used screws to do drywall before. If you use a regular screwdriver, drill too far, break the paper on the drywall, then you know that you have to put another screw in. Breaking the paper on drywall when screwing eliminates the holding power of the screw. This screw driver allows you to "dimple" the surface with the screw, not breaking the paper surface, and allowing adequate room for the finishing compound that would be later applied. Good buy and I am glad that I bought them.

So So
I was hoping these would work better than they did. I find just a normal drill bit works great with skilled use of the trigger. Also these do not have any detent, so it does not like to remain in an impact driver. If you are using a drill, just use a normal bit and adjust the torque setting.

This may not look like much but I will say Do not spend your money on anything else! I was purchasing a professional drywall gun and at the same time I saw this item and it was so cheap I figured "eh why not" and I am so sorry that I wasted my money on the professional drywall screwgun, I popped this right into my DeWalt cordless drill and it worked like a charm. Who would've thought such a cheap attachment would do such a great job! I'm sending the $79 screwgun back for a refund!

Excellent setter bit tip!
I have been using this setter for a while now and it is really helpful. The drywall screws end up right where you want them, a slight dimple below the drywall.steer is sturdy, well built, no complains at allOne thing to watch for is that you need to keep your drill perpendicular to the surface or otherwise the dimple is not even

G8 value, and time saving if used correctly!
Depending on the size(torque) of your drill and the background material that you r putting the screw into 2(pine or hard woods) then some testing is required b4 repetitive actions . After that awesome, and so easy to plaster over. For a novice this is great, guess if ur a pro then u would use a dedicated tool, i suspect!
