Bought as a replacement element for existing plumbing. It is important to 'match the numbers' of the cartridge being replaced as there are different attachment fittings. Also, the '-3' denotes microns of filtration - get the one right for your needs. Used on a boat to filter tank water. Provides good tasting, clear drinking water and removes numerous impurities. There are 'cheaper' choices out there but, as usual - 'you get what you pay for'! I'd recommend this product for quality and decent value.

Had this system for a couple of years. Easy to change and descent price for the filters. Good for where I live in Vancouver. Removes the chlorine smell. My last filter was very slow. It was an easy return and re purchase and the water flow is now great.
