We have a 45 lb Spring Spaniel. He looks very slim because he is so well muscled. He wears a medium. Keeping that in mind probably the large would fit your Golden.

what is the weight for a medium?

I have 55 lbs female Germany Shorthair and its fine, right in the middle of the available adjustment. In addition the product is well built and takes a lot of hard hunting.
