are these glossy or matte?

The stickers are matte finish, but after I printed on them, I sprayed them with a high gloss glaze in a spray can form. It not only makes it glossy, it protects the ink on the stickers from running if it gets wet.

does it work on a color ink jet?

Yes, they work in a color ink jet. I used them in both machines. You can use laser with inkjet and have no problems. But if you use inkjet with laser they smear. I hope this helps.

Are the labels on an 8.5 x 11" sheet?

Yes. There are 4 labels across the sheet and 6 from top to bottom for a total of 24 labels per 8.5 x 11" sheet. I have an old Avery program that includes the ID #5293 for this type of label, so I believe I can use my Avery program to set up the labels when I am ready to use them. Good luck!

These labels are paper-based and will not be weather resistant, unfortunately. For a weather resistant label we would recommend one of our Weatherproof or GHS chemical labels instead.
