Q: Is this a solid one piece container ?

The double walled, vacuum insulated stainless steel body is one piece.

Q: What is the advantage of this over using a Greca while camping?

It’s bigger. We get three big mugs of coffee out of one pot. And it stays hot forever. Since we use this on the boat, we appreciate that it’s tough. It’s a way better pot for camping.

Q: Can you boil water directly in the container on a stove top?

Due to the fact that the Basecamp press is double wall and vacuum insulated (which are necessary to keep the coffee hot for hours, you cannot boil water directly in the container on a stove top.

Q: Is it Dishwasher safe?

Hand washing with warm, soapy water is recommended. It would be fine to put the press assembly (including the lid), but not the body.
