Caffeine + L-theanine is a well known 'nootropic' stimulant combo, so was very happy to find a product that combined the two in a nicely packaged, portable gum. The combination gives me nice energy and alertness without the jitteriness of caffeine alone, and I found myself not having to use the bathroom every 10 minutes versus using coffee as a caffeine source. Gum itself is very good quality, stays soft and chewable even after longer periods without getting mushy or hard like other gums. Flavorwise you do get some of the bitterness at first as caffeine has a bitter taste, but you only really notice it in the beginning and has a nice mint aftertaste. Packaged very nicely, its clear that the company put a lot of thought into the marketing and packaging with positive, motivational memos on each box (think of it as a more well-thought out fortune you get from a fortune cookie every time you grab a new piece). Overall, a great substitute for coffee or caffeine pills, and worth the $ if you are an avid caffeine user. $20 bucks for 6 packs of 9 pieces = 54 gums, which equals about 37 cents per gum, definitely beats paying for Starbucks on the daily without looking like a junkie carrying around bottles of caffeine. I don't travel without it! Anytime I'm driving and needing a cup of coffee, I'll chew a tablet instead. I appreciate not getting the jitters from having too much coffee/caffeine. I also like that the gum doesn't harden like bubble gum does!

This is my new favorite gum! I absolutely love its texture - it is very high quality, very chewy, and it does NOT (!) get stiff after a while like some other cheap gums. It does get your spirits up pretty quickly - I do not feel agitated or anxious like after coffee, but I feel energized, clear-minded and just generally positive. Honestly, I did not expect that))) so I don't think that this could be a placebo effect. I honestly believe it works! (at least for me) I chewed NeuroGum while preparing for my Calc1 final and, even though I have never been a math geek, I was able to study hard. Or harder than I usually would (still no A, but at least not a C!) I'm not saying this gum is gonna get you through your finals. It won't. Only you can do that. But this gum is great at, let's say, waking you up when you can't have your coffee. It also tastes great, too (definitely better than coffee))) At first I thought the flavor was a little strange, but now that I'm used to it, I really like it! This is so much better than any other average grocery/drug store gum that I don't even see a point in buying those any more. Thanks for making these! P.S. love the design, too!

Works as described, caffeine kicks in pretty quickly, I felt the kick, in a minute or so after chewing, noticeably felt alert. Let's be real though, this gum tastes like a battery you pulled out of a cats ass. It does become more bearable after a minute or two, but the aftertaste is still there. I notice a very high hit of clove - sweetness isn't bad, again the gum is kind of foul, so the mint and sweet help to make it a little more bearable. I am in medical coding, and have recently taken three certification exams. the tests are long, almost six hours each exam, and in the past i have taken Monster energy drinks and coffee in with me, sodas what have you to stay alert, problem is, you then have to inevitably take the bathroom breaks that come along with all the liquid consumption. This resulted in me running out of time on the first and second exam, and having to resort to my all B strategy to at least have a 25% chance of getting an answer correct on the questions I couldn't finish. Not to worry kind reader, I passed both exams, but my most recent exam was the more difficult of the three and I decided to see if there was some Jolt gum or the like on Amazon, and stumbled on to Neurogum. I purchased this gum for use during my last exam, I figured if I could cut all the liquids, rely solely on the gum for alertness, and without having to take the pee breaks I could buy myself some extra time to spend on the actual exam, I ended up finishing my exam about 45 minutes early. I also got the bonus of the calming effect of the L Theanine - I can feel the difference, between just plain energy drinks and nodoz and the accompanying jitterness. I have the capsules of powder 200mg L Theanine and 100mg Caffeine that I also use at work, but I usally take one of those with a bottle of water, and I was trying to avoid the liquids, so the gum seemed ideal. The capsules are much much cheaper, so I wouldn't recommend this gum unless you were in a similiar situation to mine. a timed exam something similar. I do feel this gum was instrumental in getting me through without drinking coffee and the subsequent bathroom breaks that come along with the all the liquid. I did also pop a couple of pieces of gum in on the way back home. All in all, I wish it was cheaper, but it does work as described. I will definitely keep a pack in the car for road trips when I start to feel the miles getting to me and need a jolt to stay alert. All in all, I would buy again. Still have more tests to take, so yea... .

I can’t believe these actually work! I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my mental clarity, focus, productivity, and sustained energy levels throughout the day. Really enjoy the flavor and the gum lasts a really long time. Plus, they’re super convenient to carry anywhere! This is officially my new go-to for natural energy and focus. This gum is a life saver. I'm not much of a gum chewer but am a regular coffee drinker, so I was definitely intrigued with the idea of a caffeinated gum. Here are the main takeaways for me: - The taste is actually pretty good. Read reviews on similar caffeinated products and good taste does not seem to be all that common. - It does work to give you some energy and focus. I don't feel any sudden jolt of energy or feel wired like I sometimes may when drinking coffee, but 15 minutes later I realize that I am actually more awake and working away. It really is hard to separate placebo effects from actual efficacy with products like this, but all I can say is that I do tend to focus and work effectively after chewing a piece of the gum, and I usually only realize it after the fact. Kudos to the people behind this. They've come up with something that works smoothly, tastes good (at least for like 15 minutes or so), and seems to not actually be that bad for you. Definitely glad I went for it.

Both the gum and the mints are something I always keep on hand now. I like this minty flavored one more than the cinnamon one, although the cinnamon isn't too bad either. I feel that I get the amplified Energy & Focus, but it's a nice level, nothing too crazy. Very handy for times when I'm feeling a little slower or feeling the need to zone in and focus to get something done. The chew of it operates just like any other gum. I've been repurchasing for a while now and happy with the product.
