Rinse thoroughly with hot water, making sure that no matcha is left on the bristles. Also, never use soap and never put it in the dishwasher. Washing your whisk is a hand wash affair only, but you may use a soft toothbrush. 3). Air dry- Place your whisk with the bristles pointing down so as not to trap moisture at the handle. 4). Wait until it completely dries before putting it away and keep it upright. 5). Soak your whisk in warm water before each use. This will soften the bristles, which will help you achieve that perfect green froth you love so much.

Is it true these only get about 10 to 12 uses?

That totally depends on how you use it. Use it and maintain it properly, I have used mine once a day for 3 months. Then my sister came to visit, he destroyed it with two uses!!! And she makes matcha regularly at home..... It is a delicate item, use it the wrong way will break it easily!

I’ve recently gotten into making matcha at home because matcha from coffee shops are… questionable. I had purchased a matcha set and high quality matcha straight from Japan. However, I didn’t have a matcha bowl, so I used a regular bowl to whisk in. This would lead to a lot of spillage, when I’d go to pour it into my cup. I didn’t want to break the bank when looking for a matcha bowl, so I was shocked to find such an aesthetic bowl for such a good price! This bowl is in fact glass and pretty thick too! It does not feel fragile at all and has a good weight to it. I love that it’s clear, so that I can see my matcha. It’s really easy to clean too (I hand wash it). Ever since I got it, thanks to the little spout, I have had no spillage!
