High Quality Versatile Pasta
I love this product for the versatility. It really does not have any flavor that I can discern, so I rated it a 3 on flavor. That is the best part about this, it takes on the flavor of what you cook it in. I love to add curry to mine. It keeps a great consistency, and is very tender, and holds its structure.

Love it!
Love this couscous. Thicker than traditional which is too grainy for me, these little pearl like couscous tastes wonderful and almost impossible to over cook. And the price is a good value. The small boxes in grocery stores are around $2 for only 8 oz.

My 5th bag - toasted couscous recipe
I'm on my 5th bag of this having gotten 3 of them from Costco when they carried it. While I've always gotten a bag with a decent "expiration" on it, I've not found this is all that relevant. I've found a partial bag a year past date and used it and it was fine. Of course keeping it dry and sealed is critical like just about any other food.My Toasted Couscous recipe [very nutty flavor]*2 Tablespoons EVOO added to pan and heat to smoke point.*Add 1 cup pearl couscous and cook on medium high stirring regularly. Within a few minutes you'll start to see the couscous changing to a nice brown. Don't let this burn.*Add 1.25 to 1.33 cups water depending on the bite you want in the final product.*Quickly stir in your desired spices. I do some diced onion, garlic powder, pinch of rosemary, pinch of black pepper* Add 1 tsp chicken base [this has all the salt you need]* Bring to boil and turn down to simmer for about 10 minutes, then turn off stove to let it absorb any remaining water. This gets it fully hydrated but eliminates risk of it sticking to the pan or burning.*Stir and serve

Rice Is Nice But Couscous Is Better
Israeli couscous was developed during an austerity period in Israel, when rice was scarce. It is a combination of seminola and wheat flour. Israeli couscous are small, round, pasta-like granules, and is twice as big and is toasted rather than dried. This gives it a nutty flavor and a sturdy composition that gives it a chewy bite and makes it stand up to sauce.Israeli couscous has become a real favorite in my house. It is easy to prepare and can be mixed with so many other food items.Israeli couscous is like an entirely different food. It plumps up into luscious individual pearls that pop in your mouth. It is much different than regular couscous, so be prepared for a treat! If you're not familiar but wanting to try it, you can buy Israeli couscous at Amazon!I like to use chicken or vegetable broth in Israeli couscous, it gives the couscous an almost creamy, hefty base. Mix it with pine nuts and parsley or whatever herbs you like best. This couscous is so luscious and now takes the place of other grains or other pastas.Highly Recommended prisrob 02-27-12

Very cost effective
Great item that is very versatile for many recipes. Nice to buy a large bag that is definitely cheaper than the small packages in the local grocery stores. Cooks quickly and is a nice change from rice or potatoes.

Great item to have on hand
I have had Couscous several times and this is by far the best. If you have not tried Couscous it is very similar to pasta. I used it as a stand alone dish with Marinara sauce like you would serve pasta. I also add it to soups and stew especially if they are not thick enough as the Couscous will absorb the water. And that is only the beginning, if you look on-line there are hundreds of various recipes. I think it is a good item just to have on-hand. There is another Couscous but I like the size of this much better.
