I think so. We used an electric air pump.

Q: Do they float in the pool?

Yes! I was surprised they don’t market them as floats as well as inflatable chairs. They are the best pool floats we have ever had. Very comfortable, you can almost lay all the way back without flipping them. They were a huge hit, with kids and adults.
