It comfortable to use.

This is one of the most helpful items that I have purchased. Since I live alone, I don’t need one of the large foodsaver systems. This works perfectly to freeze items and avoid freezer burn. It takes very little space on the counter and is readily available when needed. The only flaw is that replacement bags are a bit pricey. But the system works quite well.

Love this for sealing containers and bags. The small size makes it very convenient for daily use without taking up a lot of counter space. The previous one lasted about 3 years.

Overall grade? B- I have a FoodSaver bag sealer with a built-in bag/container vacuum attachment. The problem with the built in attachment is that when it becomes damaged, there is no way to repair/replace it, other than buying a whole new FoodSaver appliance. So, I purchased this device. As I said, it works, but with limitations. • The power of the device is much less than a built-in device. Which means that it works more slowly. • It does not click on (Or off). You have to manually hold down the power button. • It does not stop when it reaches the maximum vacuum point. Which means that when using a zip-lock type vacuum bag, you have to watch the bag and stop the device at the appropriate time. If you are using a hard sided container, you have to listen to the sound. When the pitch is a higher tone, then it has reached a satisfactory vacuum level. On the plus side, the mouth of the device is round, as opposed to the old style FoodSaver attachment which has an oval mouth. This means that it works better with competitor’s bags, which use a round seal flap. Disregard the criticism by some of the initial 24-hour charge time before use. That is simply sound advice to extend the lifespan of the battery. When you get used to the limitations, it does prove to be a useful tool.
