Fantastic for cooking over a fire. You're going to want to let it preheat so your veggies start sizzling as soon as you throw them in. Salt your veggies, toss them with some olive oil, then throw in this grill basket. Great for getting some char and smoky flavor in there. It is a bit of a pain to clean because you're going to get carbon and creosote in the grill holes. Worth it for the great good you can make in it. If you plan to cook over a fire with it, definitely get some bail lifters or bring some oven mitts, because this cast iron will get very hot over a fire.

It's Lodge. Nothing polished about it, but does what I need it to do (charcoal tray), and I'd expect I'll be using it for a very long time unless I should manage to drop it and break it.

I’m a vegetarian and can now grill while keeping my food separate from people’s meat. Works amazingly well.

Follow proper seasoning instructions and you'll have minimal issues

Just grilled veggies on the BBQ tonight with this excellent new grill basket. Artichokes, bell peppers, cauliflower all turned out perfectly! I wasn't sure how it would be to use no oil and just seasonings, but it was great, and then I added oil after. The pan cleaned up very well and feels durable. I sett it lasting for decades.

Soy gran fan de Lodge, ya tengo bastantes productos de su marca, me encanta éste sartén fenestrado para el grill de carbón.

when I clicked "Buy" I was regretting my purchase because it said 12 inch grill. I was afraid the 12 inch also included the handles which might mean that the actual diameter was much less. I was pleasantly surprised that the 12 inch grill truely refered to the diameter (see photo attached). I have been using my Weber charcoal starter as a convenient grill with those China made steel meshes which are really hard to clean and a typical throw away after every BBQ, so with this Lodge Grill, either placed top side up or top side down, fits the Weber starter perfectly. (top side down is good for meats on skewers). Thank you Lodge !

野菜だけでなく、炭火で秋刀魚も上手く焼けました。鋳鉄なのでメンテナンスが大変だと思いますが、それ以上に美味しい思いが出来るので良いですね。
