Solar Wireless Backup Camera with 3Mins DIY Installation, Rechargeable Battery Back Up Camera for Cars with Super Night Vision, 5" Car Monitor Hitch Reverse Cam for Van/SUV/Truck/Trailer/RV (SunGo2)

Anyone who has an older car that doesn’t have a backup camera and is unable to to run wires, you need this. I could not see the back of my Porsche Boxster with the top down and I was backing up blind with the top up. This installed in a way that is completely reversible without any permanent damage to the car. There are no wires to run. Out of the very expensive box, everything was well packaged and of high quality. The cameras is all metal. After an initial charge using the supplied USB cable, I was able to test the function before installing it on the vehicle. After about 10 minutes it was fully installed and operational. My install was a little different from the instructions. I mounted the solar panel vertical on the tag. The charging wire was easily hidden being the perfect length. The camera angle adjusted up or down with an easy twist and held position after several drives. I didn’t use the otherwise nice windshield mount. I used my existing 1” RAM ball mount that fit perfectly into the back of the display. The image is of very good resolution and brightness. Brightness is adjustable or auto. You can use or not use backup grid lines and those are adjustable. Activating the image is with the press of a button. It goes into standby with a dark screen at a time you set. I have mine set at 60 seconds to prevent battery draw. I would highly recommend this. This is a great value for the price and makes parking much easier.

I wrote a review that the camera did not hold a charge after a couple of weeks. The seller immediately shipped out a replacement camera overnight. The replacement camera is working flawlessly. The picture is very clear. No more worries about backing up in a crowded little league baseball parking lot. On a side note. I went to open the trunk on my Toyota Camry Hybrid and the camera blocks the finger latch. You have to pull the trunk release inside or use your key on the trunk lid. I could have mounted the camera upside down using the tape but I don’t want to go that route don’t feel it is secure enough. I love the camera but hate mounting things on top of my dash. The setup was super easy. Remove 2 screws from the license plate. Attach the camera to the license frame. Tighten the screws. Plug the monitor into the accessory outlet and you’re done. However the monitor mount is a No Go for me. Instead I very highly recommend the magnetic mount. It plugs into the AC vent. The camera is highly visible to the driver but does not obstruct the driver’s view. Negatives out of the way first: no night vision, and if u have tons of stuff (and I mean a LOT) inbetween the camera and the screen you can experience cutout and lag. There also is no continuous run mode, but it would probably loose a lot of run time if that was enabled. That all said, I installed it on my rear tailgate rack as a way to see behind my jeep during a long vacation. I did have to get my own hardware to make it work, but it wasn’t intended for my specific installation. All in all, it works great! I could easily get 20+ hours in drive times without recharging. This will of course depend on how much you use it. I turned it on in heavy traffic and when I was passing someone, so I turned it on quite a lot, and had it on the longest run time: 90 seconds. Installation was incredibly easy, bolted it to my rack and plugged in the screen to the cigarette lighter plug; was honestly harder to find the hardware I wanted to match my needs. The one pic shows me charging it in my SUV tent with a USB Charger, and if you see a bit of corrosion in the other pic, it is from the hardware I bought separate, not what was included with this kit. UPDATE: 3/24/2022: After 3 months the camera stopped working. I spoke with the company/distributor via email through Amazon in Decemeber and they sent me a new one. It did take a month to receive, however it is working fine again. I am keeping my 4 stars as they did replace it, no charge, and it seems to work as advertised once again. I will try an repost if it fails again, however, their customer service was very helpful and willing to replace it.

This is the third backup camera and the second solar version we’ve purchased from Autovox/Boscam. After the initial USB charging, our Sungo2’s 3350mAh battery has remained charged drawing power from the included solar panel. We tested the camera during the day and at night and the image clarity and brightness are impressive. You can mount the camera and solar panel several ways; we chose to stack the two into one slim, neat looking bar that sits nicely on top of the license plate. Installation could not be easier. Other than the USB charging, the assembly/mounting of the camera took five minutes, living up to the product’s claim of being a truly wireless backup camera. Our family believes in Autovox/Boscam. Their products have performed as expected and their customer service is bar none. All our inquiries/concerns have been fully addressed within 24 hours. You won’t receive a standard “Hello Friend” standard response like you do from some sellers that is not even on point. We highly recommend the Sungo2 and other Autovox/Boscam backup cameras for additional peace of mind when driving older vehicles that are not factory equipped with backup cameras.

I have 2 cameras for the front and back with solar chargers for my Tourneo Grand Connect wheelchair access vehicle. Helps with seeing what is ahead and behind when manoeuvring. Easy to fit and set up. At present I have them cable tied to the plate frame but will look to make them a bit more permanent in time. Make sure to charge before use. One of the cameras came with what seems to be a faulty battery that will not charge but the supplier sorted out the issue straight away by sending a replacement, very appreciated and good customer service. As they are wireless and not powered from the reverse light you need to need to switch the monitor on for use, (comes on when you start the car when using an engine start 12v socket like the dash one on the Tourneo), and toggle the cameras if you have two, but as long as you can reach the switch then there's no issue, (the windscreen on the Tourneo is about 3m from the driver lol). They do project out both ends, especially when the solar panel is attached and so I'm a tad concerned that they will get clobbered when manoeuvring, but I'll sort mounting the solar panel separately when I can.

It came in no wrapping and was used, charging wire missing!

it was really working fine for 1 month. then after second full charge its completely broken. keeps dropping signals and battery drops v v fast now. solar part doesn't seem to charge anything. would like to get in touch with the seller to discuss the problem

This is my 2nd product from this company and just like the first one (a Mirror Dash Cam) I was not disappointed! I purchased it for my long wheel based Campervan to aid with reversing/parking and it does a brilliant job! It was really quick and simple to install and set up as there are no wires to mess with! I have fixed the camera to my rear bumper using the suppled double sided tape and a couple of self tapping screws. The screen was easily mounted on the dash & powered with the supplied 12v lead. The wireless signal has been faultless and the screen image is really clear - even in the dark (with the reversing lights on and it was raining) - see photos. I have attached the solar panel to the camera so hopefully won’t need to charge it going forward. All in all a great product and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a reversing camera for their Campervan/Motorhome.

So far so good, great picture quality and very easy to setup. Only things is it doesn't fit all models on the location I have but have added stronger 3m tape to pad and secure. Haven't tested night vision but if it's as good as the rest 👍👍👍
