Sleepypod Atom pet Carrier, one Size

I bought the Sleepypod Atom a while back, but am writing this review because it just passed the most important test. I used my Atom to fly my cat from Texas to California. I had no issues with the airline, or with security. In fact getting the cat out and back in when I walked through security was surprisingly easy. The carrier fit underneath the seat in front of my perfectly. I used the privacy screen on one side and then positioned the other side so she could look up at my throughout the flight. After I landed I had to carry her around in it for a while and the over the shoulder strap was perfect. The only thing I will caution people about is that this is a very small carrier. My cat is very small even though she's full grown. She fit very comfortably in this carrier and had enough room to lay down and to turn around. However, a bigger cat might easily be pretty cramped in it. Last great thing about this is that it stores flat very nicely!

I bought this last fall to travel to Europe and Central America with my cat. When I received it, the new plastic or synthetic fabric smell was too much for me and definitely too much for my cat. I called the manufacturer and they told me to spray it with air freshener. I did and left it sitting open for a few weeks. Once I used it, the smell went away. At one point my cat did pee in it. I hand washed it, but couldn't get the urine smell out. Once I put it in the washer it came out smelling clean. I do love the bag, but if you're getting one, get it ahead of time. There is plenty of space for a cat to move and turn around. It's a great shape that fits under the seat. Perfect for any travel. The only down side is that it's heavy. Make sure your pets doesn't exceed 10 lbs if you want to take it in cabin. You may be refused boarding.

I liked the sturdiness of this product , but it did not work for us. I was looking for a safety tested car seat that passed crash test and that I could also use on airplanes. This product does not have windows on the two long sides. There are two windows on each end and one long window on the top. We live in Florida where it’s hot most of the time. My 4 lb chihuahua has been traveling in our car in a plastic crate with no issues. She never cries or makes noises of any kind. When I placed her in this new seat, she was panting and crying like never before. I tried it several times to see if she got used to it, but it was just too hot with no windows on all sides. She also did not like that she could not see me. I had to return this car seat.

Let me first start by saying there was a little mis hap when I first ordered (some how the wrong color was sent early) I was super frustrated with amazon customer service they did not make me feel like we could resolve the issue in a timely manner. We have a new puppy with many upcoming appointments and needed a safe way to travel with him. Finally I spoke with a manager and they gave me a telephone number so I could contact the company directly. I’m very happy that I did! My Wholesome Pet took care of everything and resolved the issue quickly, great customer service and very friendly. This is a good travel bag, well constructed, comfortable and stylish. Our new pup is still adjusting to his new travel den but I can see This will last him a long time.

I love Sleepypod products. They are exceptionally well made with lots of thoughtful details. I ordered the Atom Pet Carrier for one of my cats for a long car ride we were taking. I thought I could use it for the drive as well as for future flights we might be taking. Unfortunately, the Atom was much too small for my cat. She is a petite 6 pounds, but she could barely fit, much less turn around inside of it. Honestly, this carrier is only meant for the tiniest of animals - maybe a teacup doggie of some sort. I highly recommend the Sleepypod mobile pet bed and carrier instead. It's round with a domed mesh top. While a good bit more expensive, it was worth every penny. Both of my cats have loved sleeping in it, and it made them feel safe in the car. Like the Atom, it has a wonderful, fur-lined interior (which zips out for cleaning), which the kitties love to snuggle in. But the shape and the domed top made for a much more roomy and comfortable experience.

First of all, this is well made and looks quite comfortable. I thought this was going to be perfect but it had one fatal flaw. My puppy is currently only 3 1/2 pounds so she has plenty room, but there is a serious lack of airflow. She was hot and panting in an air conditioned car. She never does this! She is use to going everywhere with me but this carrier made her miserably hot. The airflow on the sides barely meets airline standards as the top is the main ventilation and under a seat would leave only a few inches on the ends. I will upgrade to the Sleepypod Air model.

I am a huge fan of Sleepypod because they are one of the few manufacturers that actually crash-test their products! I already owned a Sleepypod Air and bought a Sleepypod Mobile Pet Bed for my mom's dog. Getting this one was just a no-brainer for my 4 lb Chihuahua to travel in - she loves going into the carrier even if we're not headed anywhere. Because my mom wanted a lighter carrier than the Mobile Pet Bed, she stole this one so I just purchased a second one. My Siamese cat also travels in this occasionally. Sleepypod products may be pricey but there is no price for peace of mind.

The carrier is very well made. We have first used it to bring our kittens home from the reader. One of them was so relaxed when I opened the carrier at home, that it took him a couple of moments to realise that he was in a different home. I have left it in the corner so they get accustomed to it, and they loved playing with it (so no hurt feelings!). Since then they have grown quite a bit so we got a second one! Also, they are super easy to clean!

しっかりした作りで、とてもよかったです。 うちはMダックスで少し小さめかなぁと思いましたが、逆に余裕があるとバッグが傾いてしまった時に犬が中で動いてしまって気になっていたので、まるまるぐらいでの狭さでいいねってかんじです。
