It is perfect for my 29'er mountain bike with disc brakes front ...
After extensive searching for a bike stand that would work, I decided on this one... It is perfect for my 29'er mountain bike with disc brakes front & back, and standard tires (not the new/popular super fat/thick tires - I cannot speak to those type tires). Also fits my wife's 26-in mountain bike, perfectly. Zero clearance issues parking them frontwards/backwards. Adjustable height offers a guaranteed perfect fit. Super easy and intuitive to assemble and setup/connect. Very stable in the 2-bike configuration with connector, as pictured. No concerns with tipping/falling over, whatsoever. Great product, and exactly what I was looking for!-*Update 7/12/17*This stand generally lives outside under a covered patio with open sides. I took the stand indoors for the winter (basically, while daylight savings time went back to standard time for several months in southwest TN). Then right back outside once DST was back in effect. It has been rained on many times and has had zero issues. Rock solid! Here is a pic showing the actual clearance width. I have a new 29'er mountain bike with disc brakes, and still no clearance issues. Again, I cannot speak to the super fat tires may fit, but hopefully the pic helps.

Great solid bike racks and good customer service.
I am a complete bike junkie - I ride road, mountain, have 2 tandems and kids who ride and my entire garage is devoted to bikes. I have bikes of every wheel size from 20 inch to 27 with different length bikes and tandems that are heavy. After reading the reviews I got these racks and I have not been disappointed. Once they are connected, the complete setup is SOLID, well constructed, well designed and can hold all the different wheel sizes securely.I actually ended up connecting eight of these things! I ended up setting them up at an angle along one wall of my garage that made it so there were no problems with the handlebars colliding, etc. All the bikes fit closely together. I did have one package that was missing some of the connectors, but the company was very prompt and immediately sent me replacements. A great set of solid bike racks and good customer service - not much more you could ask for.

Good value - Accommodate a variety of bicycles
I would like to thank all the reviewers for this product. Being a budget-conscious buyer, your comments enabled me to make an informed decision. I hope my comments will contribute to others with their decisions.I chose this rack because it is able to avoid damaging disc brakes and derailleurs, accommodate a wide range of tire sizes and widths, good value for the price, and has flexibility for storage solutions (use each rack individually or link them together in various combinations). My family has a variety of adult-size bikes: road bikes, mountain bikes, and beach cruisers. Tire size ranges from 26 to 28 inches. Tire width ranges from 1 inch (23 mm) to 2.125 inches. I have two bikes with front and back disc brakes. This product was able to accommodate all my bikes. See attached pictures.I really like its ability to hold my road bike upright while avoiding contact with my disc brakes and derailleurs (see attached picture). The adjustable height feature allows each bike to be fitted to its specific tire size. Once adjusted, the tension with the tire appears to be the mechanism that holds my bikes in place (standing upright without the use of the kickstand). I personally like this feature because I was concerned that relying on the rack’s sides may damage my road bike spokes. Due to space limitations, each rack was staggered and used individually. Yet it is able to hold up all my bikes including the heavy and not so stable beach cruiser. I can envision that the racks would be more stable if they are connected together. Securing rack(s) to the ground would definitely provide even more stability (hardware for securing to the ground not included). Some of the more sturdy racks that I looked at on Amazon were much more expensive and would likely damage my disc brakes and derailleurs. The only negative I have to say is that it should have come with assembly instructions (not enough to mark it down one star). Although it is very easy to install and set up, having assembly would help cover all customer mechanical assembly abilities.

Flimsy
Bought a 2 pack. There is nothing sturdy about these racks, the verticals rock back and forth, making the bike lean more than it should. The trombone sliders fall on their own (there is no catch), which is an annoyance when you want to return your bike to its parking space but have to pull the thing back up. I have a few Bikehand stands from over the years that I trust, but wanted to save some money for my kids bikes. I don't trust my kids' bikes in these. Not worth half the price.

1.5 Year Review: Sturdy Versatile Stand for Road & Mtb
I've had this stand for 1.5 years through 2 winters. I like that you can split it into segments as you need. I put 3 segments on my apartment balcony and one inside by couch. The outside one does not get direct rain but is outside and has no issues with the sliding top tubes or rust. The plastic/rubber feet are holding up well.I put a road bike, a cross bike and a 26 mtb in the 3 sections on the porch. I do have to alternate front wheel and back wheel due to handlebar interference. That configuration is plenty stable, but is in a protected area. Storing by the rear wheel is the most stable. When I put fenders on the cross bike for commuting you can't store by the back wheel. The carbon road bike does lean to the side due to the skinny tires, but has been totally safe and it does not touch bike next to it. Bolting the 3 sections together makes the whole assembly very sturdy, but can still be moved a little. I put the remaining single section by my couch for quick access if riding same bike a few days straight. The single is not as sturdy alone as the three linked ones.Overall, very versatile, sturdy and well made. The price has gone up 30% so not quite the same value, but I would still buy again.
