Q: Can this be powered with a Modified Sine Wave inverter ?

It should automatically start charging. It remembers the last setting you had it on the last time it was charging.

Q: What's the difference between the noco genius gen5x1 (this product) and the noco genius5 charger? how should i choose between them?

The GEN5X1 is an onboard battery charger/maintainer model for 12V batteries that connects to the battery via eyelets. The GENIUS5 is a multi-purpose battery charger/maintainer model for 12V and 6V batteries that comes with a clamp and integrated eyelet combo cable.

Q: Do i have to turn this charger on everytime its plugged in or will it charge when it's plugged in?

When plugged-in, the charger is in Standby Mode. Use the Mode Button to select the appropriate mode to begin charging. After each consecutive use, the charger remembers the last selected charge mode.
