Perfect!
These handles were perfect for my unusual use on an old file cabinet. I'm turning it into tool storage and needed a better handle system. Unfortunately, the file cabinet openings were odd sized and I had almost given up on the idea of finding suitable replacements at a reasonable price. These handles are high quality and worked perfect for my application.

Sturdy well made
I like these a lot. You will need to cut into your cabinet to install, but they are sturdy and well suited to my cabs.

Mounting depth is .5" rather than .38" as shown in the photo
Everything seems great except the cited mounting depth is off. This thing clearly sits at a .5 inch. There are some rivets that hold it up about 1/16" higher than the back plate which is itself nearly 1/16" deeper than cited in the schematic.May be a minor difference to most people but if you're using a router to dig a pocket like I am, cutting to .38" depth makes it stick up out of the pocket by nearly 1/8".Other than that, happy with the product.

Tool box handle replacement.
I used these for a recessed handle for my tool box.worked good.as the handle on the tool box was plastic and broke. A good replacement.

Missleading Title
The title is misleading. The title when I purchased it said: Speaker Cabinet Spring Loaded Recessed Metal Handle 5" X 3". I needed this product to have overall dimensions of 5" x 3". When I made my purchase I made the mistake of just referring to the title and did not scroll down and look at the Product Dimensions under Product Information. For this product the recessed portion is 3"x5", but the overall product size is 5.5" x 3.9" x 1/2" inches. Unfortunately, that won't work for the project I purchased it for so I am out $8 (because it is not worth the trouble to return it). I gave it three stars because it seems to be a decently made product, just a problem in titling it.
