This aluminum oil filter housing is much more durable that the plastic one it replaced. It has the same drain plug for the filter and the Toyota oil filter wrench fits it perfectly which makes it easy to remove and reinstall. Im sure this will function as intended for much longer than the plastic one.

The filter cover material looks of quality mateial and finishing, actually that surprised me because it looks even more than an OEM part than a replacement, the machining and surface treatment are very good. it was very simple to install the inner support tube, just put the spring, and push the tube and twist. The filter also looks almost identical to the original I had (always changed by the agency, until now). It fit perfectly and was very easy to install on a RAV4 2015, even better than th original I broke when I was installing a day before (meaning very fast shipping!). I would recomend it for a replacement or even to have it ready for when the plastic one breaks.

Did NOT FIT for 2014 Sequoia. The inner filter stem was shorter than one with the factory finger housing. Otherwise, it was a quality looking part with good packaging.

The product is well built and fits Lexus. My original plastic filter cap cracked, the dealer's retain price was $279 but this item is under $20. In this new unit, I swapped the cylindrical perforated piece (which hold the filter in place) inside the oil filter cap with the one from my old cap. The height of the new cylindrical piece was 1/2 inch shorter. It might not make any difference, however. Its easy to swap the cylindrical piece will old one.

Works great and fixed my leak after an oil change left my plastic housing dripping after a microscopic fracture. However, do make sure you use something like brake parts cleaner or anything that doesn't leave residue or break down the gasket inside the housing before install. I ran my finger through the inside of the housing and there were metal shavings and dust from the manufacturing process i imagine. The car would probably have been fine but why risk it when it takes 30 seconds to clean it? This is a precaution id take with any metal part going into my engine anyways so no stars deducted.

If you have a gen 3 Tacoma this is a nice replacement for the oem. Fit perfect and seals well.

Do yourself a favor and replace that cheap factory plastic cap!

Product came fully assembled to include the new gaskets that usually come in a filter box-I presume that's so you can change the housing without having to do an oil change. Quality is good. I installed it on my 2019 Avalon, and it went on just like a OEM part. Set to torque at 18 pounds for the housing and at 9 pounds for the drain. Filter wrench fits much better than the original factory plastic one also.
