Are these comfortable for standing/walking all day? Are they reliable as in won't need to replace in a year or less

yes,they are very comfortable.I work in golf course,almost walk all day.I bought them last summer,now wearing them every day,so far I haven't met any quality issues.

Are these considered "ankle high" boots? Trying to find something for my academy since they require ankle high boots.

They’re about 6 inches from the heel which should cover your ankle. I’m not sure what height requirement you’re looking for, but they do cover the ankle.

Are these men's hiking boots solid? how is the quality?

They are extremely solid and well made. I am very tough on my footwear and these are holding up to the hardest conditions i can put them through
