Great Product. Repeat Purchase Ahead.
Seller -- Woodland Foods (Fulfilled by Amazon) Product -- ASIN : B000S16YP6 "D'allesandro 10 lbs. Dry French Green Lentils, Certified Kosher & Non-GMO" Product arrived in a sealed sturdy "DGOURMET" cardboard box within a lighter-weight Amazon cardboard box as part of a (20 lb) larger order. Within the product box was an approx 2-gallon sealed colored-plastic bag containing the French Green Lentils. The bag was sturdy and not re-sealable, but could be twisted closed and held with grocery twist ties from the usual kitchen pile. Poured off a gallon (approx 8 lbs) of the lentils into a closable rigid container for future use. (10 lbs of lentils is a 2-month supply here.) Sorted the remaining 2 lbs of product for the coming weeks' use. Product was precisely the classic French Green Lentil promised -- not the smaller origin-controlled "lentilles du Puy," and not the larger common Green. Product was very clean. Dust free. And, for an end-of-bag pour off, was remarkably nearly free of the usual stones/clots that come from "agricultural product". I found only two tiny stones in the two pounds cleaned. I found the usual "noise" of a few grains -- all oat. All things one expects. But I was pleased with the absence of any "clots" that can break up and make the product dirty and gritty. The cleaned and rinsed product cooked up as expected. Had the perfect firmness and flavor I've come to expect from the French Green variety. With the excellent product quality, availability, and price, I will purchase again in late July. That is if the seller & their source still appear within the Amazon universe. (All my other price-reasonable sources of FGL have either disappeared or have promising displays but no actual stock.) Five stars. Recommended.

What a deal !
These are great quality and are clean. I do sort them before using, but hardly ever find any debris or stones, etc. If you have somewhere to store ten pounds of lentils, buy it. It's SO much cheaper than buying french lentils at the store--if you can even find them. When kept dry and cool, they'll last well over a year. Great value, and delicious. (French lentils have a nicer taste than regular lentils and, when cooked, they don't lose their shape or get mushy.)

Authentic green lentils. No stones!
I am French, I've grown up eating green lentils from "Le Puy". Too often I've bought so-called "French green lentils" in the US that would quickly disintegrate while cooking. These DO NOT. They are the real deal. Do not expect these lentils to dissolve and become mushy like all the other varieties. These lentils have to stay firm. Taste them when they cook. Do not wait until they turn to mush. They should retain their shape and some firmness. Contrary to other reviews, no stones whatsoever. I'll buy again, because no doubt I'll go through these quickly.

Exactly what I was looking for!
Fantastic French green lentils at a great price! At under $20 for 10 pounds, these are about the same price as the standard variety commonly found in the grocery store. At my local grocery the only French green lentils available were by Bob’s Red Mill at $7.00 for only a pound and a half! And the Bob’s variety were the dirtiest lentils I’ve ever seen. Of course I always rinse my lentils, but I had never seen any amount of dirt come off any of the kinds I had tried, but with the Bob’s variety the dirt coming out of the strainer in my sink seemed like it would never end. These lentils were exactly what I was looking for, didn’t see a speck of dirt when rinsing and were good value, not to mention delicious. Tasted just like authentic Le Puy lentils to me. Only complaint is I bought them just over a week ago, and would like to buy another box to stock up, but they are suddenly unavailable... I hope they restock them soon!

Small rocks that are impossible to spot
If you value your dental work dont buy these. We always carefully wash these in a colander looking for stones, inevitably we miss some, ended out throwing these out.

Good mild earthy lentils. Minefield of tiny pebbles and stones.
Good taste, cook quickly. Skins tend to separate, so cook on the lowest heat without stirring, sous vide gave me the best results. I found soaking made little to no difference. Flavor is earthy, mild. That said, my batch had a lot of stones. No amount of careful sorting could remove them, I would always bite into four or five every time I made a bowl of lentils. Maybe I got the bottom of the barrel here, but I couldn't finish the bag, it was just so unpleasant expecting every bite to chip my tooth. However, they were mostly free of dust or dirt, and rinsed clean quickly. I'll go with another company next time.

Performed well, just as fresh as my usual (Bob's Red Mill or Target's organic line). Great value.
I use French green lentils in the excellent "Best Lentil Salad, Ever" recipe from my new roots. I was very happy with these lentils. I felt their freshness, appearance, and texture were at least as good as the brands I've purchased in the past. These seemed to cook a bit faster, so they may be fresher than my usual ones. Didn't have any problems with rocks or debris as some reviewers noted. I always carefully go over any beans, but especially small ones, which seem more prone to pebbles or little dried clods of mud. These were fine. I'm always concerned about pests in bulk grains, so I popped the whole bag in the freezer for a couple of days before transferring them to a jar for storage.
