It's easy to read and gives a great explanation of the disease, it's causes, and how to remedy it. I highly recommend this book!

This book now sits beside the Holy Bible
I am not a fan of big pharma nor the modern medical system. Neither are looking out for you, hence you won't find this information there. My weight and BMI are "normal". SO WHAT? I also have Type 2 diabetes! I researched Roy Taylor and University of Newcastle. All legit and impressive. I bought this book and read it in one sitting. An easy, straightforward read. I'm now going on my 7th day of following it and my blood sugar is steadily within the healthy range. Excessive thirst and peeing are much better. Fatigue is much better. I'm not doing shakes, just eating baby dill pickles during the day and having a regular dinner with portions that equal around 600 calories. It's a drastic cutback but I've lost six pounds in six days and feel much better. I will follow this through until I'm rid of the extra fat affecting my liver. And I will be a lifetime devotee. It's all worth it to me to stay off the pharmaceuticals and out of the American healthcare spider web. My mom "managed" her diabetes as instructed by her MD. She ended up with swollen legs, high blood pressure, dementia, strokes and dead at 82. Thank you Roy Taylor, University of Newcastle and the powers that be in Great Britain for shining the light of truth on this miserable and reversible disease!

This book presents solid data driven information to people who are determined to reverse their diabetes. Through his research Professor Roy Taylor proves that diabetes can be reversed. Feel fortunate to read his teachings through this book.Liquid diet may seem extreme to some people but he also discusses various other ways to get the same result. Goal is to loose weight, even one is close to their goal BMI. Author chooses his words carefully, so one should pay attention to those details.He talks about TOFI- thin outside fatty inside, normal weight people can be too heavy for their body. By doing so he touches upon certain percentage of people who are not obese but developed diabetes.Unlike all the other old theories about pancreas being a failure and not able to produce enough insulin and not able to tolerate the glucose load, author talks about how pancreatic cell function can be improved if fat from liver and pancreas is removed ( presents pictures of pancreas). And it can be achieved with weight loss, loosing inches from waist.He touches upon intermittent fasting, diet plans, social obstacles while dieting etc. . He says 5:2, 6:1 fasting plans can work as well.This book gives hope to millions of people with diabetes and prediabetes.All the facts he mentioned in the book are nothing but facts.

I'm finally losing weight...and I lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks
The gist of this book is losing weight which cuts the fat in your pancreas, and so the pancreas can work better, and then that reverses the diabetes or insulin resistance.I already had cut my food down to nothing but I was not losing weight...but when I cut out the fat calories, I could not believe how fast I lost weight. I was eating salads but my dressing was sabotaging my diet.He recommends shakes at first but I already drink a morning green smoothie, after my 2 cups of coffee, so then I would eat a half of a chicken breast with a veggie for dinner. I used to do water fasting but this is much easier and faster which is why it works so well.The book is easy reading and only about 80 pages.

Cause of Type 2 Diabetes?
Researching nutrition gets complicated when one enters the science — the body is a system of systems and the terminology has no bottom. But if you have prediabetes or type 2 diabetes and have been trying to fend off the physical wreckage of high blood glucose, this book gets to the nub: lose 2 stone or so (Britspeak for about 28 pounds) and this author says you can reverse T2 diabetes as long as you keep the weight off. This book review is not medical advice; read the book if this subject has some relation to your condition and make up your own mind.

Knowledge is power
I like the fact that it's an easy read. I would recommend this book. All my doctor wants to do is prescribe medication. I want to try an alternative first. Happy to stumble across this book.

fantastic, honest and practical
There’s so much fear spread about not eating enough, slow and steady. This book gives practical and honest advice on getting this weight loss job done, once and for all and keeping it off. I’m not at the end of my journey, but 1/4 of the way through and it’s working…and I feel great. I’m achieving my results fast, not slowly which has demotivated me for years

must read for all looking for living a healthier life. Addresses many misconceptions. Wish I had this book earlier. Good work by Dr Taylor
