I watched the first three episodes of this series on Crunchyroll when it first released and have been obsessed ever since!!

Having now read all the volumes that are out right now, this volume has been my favorite! The art is as gorgeous as ever and they it shows they put effort into it. The plot of this one really kept me interested every second! Mao Mao is still such a good character to me, at least I relate to her. Even if she's not canonically autistic her little eccentricities make her absolutely lovable.

It was such a good read, can not wait to read the other volumes of this series. It is a very refreshingly new romance

Another death in the inner palace leads to more revelations. It isn't confirmed, but I'm more than sure that the conclusion Maomao made about Lady Aduo's dead son is correct. Because of all of that and the person behind the attempted poisoning of Lady Lishu being found, Maomao ends up back at Verdigris, though not for long. She's got a new job now. I wonder if Jinshi even understands exactly how he feels. Maomao sure doesn't.

She is so much fun with her sass and brashness. She’s not afraid to tell it as it is. This series is so much fun. I definitely can’t wait for the next one.

I decided to continue buying this series because let's be honest the anime itself is a solid 10. I was super excited at how fast it was delivered especially with other items I had also ordered but upon reviewing it, the first thing I noticed was the first page, it's a sad misprint of where the inside cover page is half printed and it's barely even hanging on into the book. Very disappointed. The story itself well lets just say I need to buy the next Volume soon

The back of the books cover has a pretty ugly crease in it from being bent. And it is not an open the book kind of bend or crease. Hard to see in image but it's there.
