KEENTarghee 3 Mid Waterproof Men's Hiking Boot

After buying these they were immediately put to the test as I went to a friend's acerage to help him blaze hiking trails everywhere. Carrying hiking packs, chainsaws, water and gear.Prior to receiving these shoes I was on his property and at the end of the day my feet hurt so bad almost couldn't walk. After getting these shoes and doing the exact same style of performance my feet were not killing me, they were just tired from being used all day. That's when I knew I made the right purchase.I've since hiked various places, including testing the waterproofing. As long as the water doesn't go above where the tongue bends you're completely waterproof. I was removing brush and logs from creaks and my shoes were completely under water to the tongue bend line for hours and not one drop of water entered my shoes.Now one cream I had to cross with gear and that water went near the top of the shoe line where the last lace system is and my feet were soaked. I knew water would enter just didn't have a clue how much. However when you own the shoes and look inside you can see a silver material that lines to a certain height. That's the waterproofing. Anything above that line isn't the shoes fault for water.For my size foot it's hard to find good hiking boats but I must say I'm loving these shoes.Oh one last thing. When I first purchased them I secured my heel into the back of the boat and laced then up good and snug. I noticed pain right at the top of the boat. Almost to the point I was concerned if these would work for me. The pain came when I'd be on an angle hiking and that portion of the boat dug into my skin and bone. I chose to loosen the boats and tie tight before going up the last two tie systems. That fixed the issue while I went through break in. Now they're tied all the way to the top and no issues what so ever.

Keen created an absolute great pair of Work/Hiking boots here. Ordered them in June 2020, and they truly had a zero day break in period. Felt amazing out of the box. I’ve worn them daily for work use and went on a few hikes. Caveats. After 4 months some of the tread began to separate from the sole then after 5.5 months the sole had started to detach from the shoe. This is troubling for a premium boot from a high quality manufacturer such has Keen. But I’m hoping this is a problem t that’s seldom seen. Keen if your listening/reading fix this issue. I’m going to have to start looking for another pair of boots real soon.

They fit great very comfortable (slipper like). Reasonable price and Amazon got them here a day early. Bought these boots for a trip to northern Maine next week. AAA+++
