Gets the job done but not a solid stone, built in pieces. Not sure of the durability

Do a tutorial on YouTube if you’re new! Soak the stone in water until it stops bubbling before every use. Keep the stone wet while using ! Well worth the money! So much easier cutting food with a razor sharp knife.

Get this stone, go on YouTube and learn who to sharpen you dull metal knifes. It does a great job once you are educated as to how to use it.

Works well

I wasn't getting this stone thinking it would be the best, I paid $13 for it. I went the cheap route because I just wanted a cheaper whetstone I could keep in the kitchen at work and not really worry if something happened to it.It seemed to sharpen slowly, so ok whatever, that's fine. But the issue is on the 1000 side, after about 10 minutes of use, there were little white specs that started to appear. I'm not sure what these really are, but they are hard. During sharpening the knife blade would snag on these little specs, so I was concerned that it was doing more harm then good.I was hoping these little specs would wear, but the snagging of the blade just seemed to get worse the longer I went.
