Finally a kidney friendly food my cat loves - it's a moussey consistency and he eats it all rather than just the jelly or the gravy

New purchaser of this. Elderly cat diagnosed with CKD and needs a special diet. After a week or so he got used to the taste of this. Its a pate like texture with there a slight smell but cat likes it. I find if I mash it and put some water in it the cat will eat it quicker. When no water is added he'll just graze at it through the day. I find the quality extremely good and whilst it can be quite expensive (unless you shop around) it will keep my cat healthier for longer so worth every penny.

The cat's like one minute then they don't

My very elderly cat (20) can't eat dry or lumpy food any more. Dry food makes him sick, and for lumpy wet food he'll lick off the gravy or jelly and leave all the meat. Not much help when he's so thin due to renal problems. This renal food is a sort of stiff mousse, which I usually mush up a bit with a spoon to make it softer for him. He is happy to eat this by licking. He is not sick after eating this food, yay! It's so difficult to persuade him to eat much at all, so I'm glad I've found this renal food for him.

My cat didnt eat it

Having a picky cat that has developed renal failure in her old age (she’s 19), I was dreading trying to find some suitable lower-protein food for her. I tried numerous types, including the Royal Canin ’chunks’ but she just refused to eat them until I tried her with this ‘loaf’ type. It’s like a very smooth pate so very easy to eat and digest. She seems to like the flavour and sits by her bowl waiting for more. Very happy to have tried this and my cat is less nauseous on it. Please Royal Canin - don’t discontinue or change it! It’s just a shame the packs are 85g rather than 100g that she’s used to, and also much more expensive than her old Felix!

My cat has Stage 1 CKD, she's 16 years old. She likes all the Royal Canin renal foods but doesn't have too many teeth unfortunately. So we blend it with Recoactive liquid food, and a little warm water. It makes a lovely soup which she seems to love. Her weight is up, and her kidneys are stable at present. It's been 1 year since her diagnosis. I would definitely recommend these products. Quality foods, with all the right nutrients.

Excellent food for older cats when showing early signs of kidney disease, best food for this illness also cats love it .

Mon chat 21 ans, insuffisance rénale, en très bonne forme avec ce produit protégeant les reins. Par contre le prix sur Amazon est exorbitant (habituellement 18€-19€ la boîte de 12 sachets). J’ai acheté 1 boîte pour dépannage urgent car mon vendeur habituel Zooplus après 1 semaine d’attente du colis m’informe d’une rupture de stock!!!
