It's well beyond what it costs my mom is going deaf and I bought this for her birthday and to get to see the joy she gets from having this is priceless she always has enjoyed movies but it's becoming increasingly difficult for her to hear them but that is now in the past highly recommend for anyone hard of hearing thank you

We have three different brands of TVs, one is brand new (JVC), one is two years old (Sony) and the last is 7 years old (Panasonic). I followed the enclosed directions and the only way this speaker would work on any of them was to plug it into the 'headphone' jack. I used the additional connectors supplied for audio connection and tried it on each of our TVs but it just wouldn't work. When using the headphone jack it cuts off any sound coming from the TV speakers and sends it directly to the one wireless speaker only. It was the only way I could get it connected. It works great, but only if the one that needs the wireless hearing assistance is watching. I was ready to trade TVs if it worked through both the TV speakers and the wireless on any of them but none would accept it. Is it doing the trick for the one that is hard of hearing? YES YES YES. In fact, it works better than I ever thought it would and I no longer need to hear a TV blaring throughout the house.

We like the portability of the unit as well as the big volume available when needed (like rain hammering on a tent roof ). It has a switch for "tone" being music or tv, which is the means of adjusting the tonal qualities.

I clean the house, garden, put on make up, bake or whatever, while listening to tv news for company. Not every room in my apartment has a tv. This item can be carried room to room and outside so I miss nothing and no longer blast my neighbors with television volume. Perfect for taking a long relaxing bath.
