Kindle Price Higher than Even the Hardcover Version
Amazon customer service asked me to write this comment that the Kindle book is US$33.63. This is more expensive than the paperback which is US$24.09 and even the hardback which is US$29.70. This pricing needs to be adjusted so that the Kindle edition is cheaper than the paperback. Could the publisher and Amazon please look into this matter as promptly as possible please? Then please delete "review".

Culture Explained
I have worked using Fons Trompenaar and Charles Hampden Turner's well researched theory in terms of international working style preferences. More than any other, it is my experience that clients understood the theoretical explanations explained in "Riding the Waves of Culture" and stated that the authors' observations agreed with their experiences when working with very varied country nationals. The research is sound and original.

interesting, but trapped within the very same frameworks that they critique
I found that this book was helpful in suggesting attributes of national culture, but at the same time I found errors and blind spots galore. I have extensive experience in several cultures and the absence of any serious consideration of religion and the influence / absence of social welfare systems surprising. In the end, the book seems trapped in the mindset of US corporate culture and corporate economic success which it sets out to critique from the start. I think that the data and research methods underlying this book, while impressive in terms of numbers, are at the same time the source of its inherent weakness. Still worth reading, though.

Good
He helped me for class. It is interesting because it gives you examples on how to understand the way people think in different countries in situations such as meetings, work, etc.

A must read for anyone doing international business
The way the book is written is engaging and grounded. It covers the topic in a very accessible way (for non-anthropologists) and brings the concept (and importance) of culture to people who deal with it hands-on in their work environment. I really recommend it!
