This item is an inexpensive fix for an old refrigerator. Whirlpool and Maytag do not stock parts anymore and this evaporator motor fits perfectly and runs quietly. You may need to use your old connector on certain models to connect the power. I am very satisfied with this part and it kept a refrigerator out of the landfill.

Another good lesson in life, but expensive. I guess “you get what you pay for”. Too bad for me since your fan's failure caused the ruination of all my frozen goods. The original manufacturer's evaporator fan motor provided a solid 12 years’ service. Your combined 1st-defective & 2nd-replacement fans gave me a pitiful 14 months of service. My mistake for risking a replacement when the first new motor failed out-the-box. Disappointing.......... The evaporator fan motor is not easily noticeable or accessible when it stops functioning because it is so quiet and well concealed. Your first indication, if you access the freezer every day is varied levels of thawed food. If the freezer is only accessed sporadically, your first indication is usually the smell of spoilage. My recommendation for future customers is to spend the extra money for a quality replacement part from a reputable company.

Stopped working 4 months after install. I strongly recommend spending the extra money and buy original Manufacture product. I give the product One Star, however I give the seller 4-5 stars because of their concern over the product and desire to resolve the problem. I found the reps to be prompt with replies and suggestions to resolve the issue.

Simple fix with basic electrical repair knowledge on how to splice a wire together. Saved over $300 by doing this repair myself.
