I suspect it would depend on the external temperature and the time it took to cover a relatively short distance

No you don’t need ice packs great for keeping things cold.

Enough for 4 slices bread sandwich and a can banana. Really robust wee bag. However I got it for a different purpose. I got it to keep equipment in. I am a District Nurse. Hope this helps
