Cute Second Chance Romance!
This was the second book I read from L.K. Farlow. I read Best Of Me First which was the “third” book written about this group of friends. Best Laid Plans was such a sweet second chance, brother’s best friend romance. Some plans just don’t work out the way you want but sometimes that makes the results that much better. As a teenager, Natalie wanted one thing - for Alden to notice her. When he did, she got more than she bargained for. She discovered she was pregnant and alone, Alden had no memory of their night together. Forced to make a decision, Natalie chose to keep them a secret. Would her decision cause more harm than good?Alden’s dream was to run his family’s hometown restaurant. When the opportunity to make that happen came around, he jumped on it. What he didn’t count on was Natalie giving him the most shocking news of his life. Would he be able to keep his dream on track or would the fallout be too much?Such an emotional ride! Alden and Natalie’s way “back” to each other was sexy and fun. Tatum stole my heart! She was such a sweet addition.

Best book yet
Seventeen year old Natalie has a plan. Perhaps not the best laid plan that the title alludes to, but a plan nonetheless, to get her brother's best friend Aiden, to notice her as a woman, and not just as his friend's little sister, before he heads back to college for his junior year.It works ... up to a point, that being him waking up the next morning, thanks to a few too many beers, with no memory of the night before. A night that subsequently resulted in a positive pregnancy test. Thanks to a variety of factors, Natalie makes what seems to be the best choice available to her at the time, and keeps their forgotten encounter, and therefore the identity of the child's father, a secret. That seems to work out okay for the next four years until Aiden moves back to town, and by a quirk of fate becomes Natalie's new boss, and the complicated becomes a cluster....While playing fast and loose with a variety of popular romance tropes, with this book Author LK Farlow has produced in this book what is to my mind, primarily a coming of age story that's hopelessly entangled with a love story. They say that with age comes wisdom, and even at twenty-one, Natalie can look back at the choices she made at seventeen and understand the implications and consequences that her younger self could never have imagined, and yet there's no going back and changing things. The unfolding drama has almost every significant relationship in the story being tested. Not just the developing and maturing relationship between Natalie and Aiden, but between each of them and Natalie's parents and older brother, with almost everyone feeling betrayed in one way or another.Over the last month or so I've read all of Farlow's preceding works and while I've enjoyed them all, this is far and away her best work yet. Set out with pathos and pacing, sensitivity and creativity, this story drew me in and kept me entranced, invested in not just the main players, but in the whole relational dynamic right to the very last page.

Best Laid Plans
I could not put the book down. I read it in 4 hours and that's only because I had to stop to cook dinner. Tatum is an absolute gem, I laughed so much.

just good
I liked the book, didn’t love it was kinda slow , too many unnecessary details, in my opinions, things the book could of done without, also who was Nate engaged to , that should of been answered

Fate finds a way to correct a past mistake
This book should be read as first in this series of standalone novels.A party during her high school years ends as a one-night-stand with her first crush and only love Alden Warner, leaving Natalie not only losing her virginity, but also pregnant. When she finds out, she wants to tell the child's father, but his FB account states him in a relationship now. So she tells her parents, but claims not to know the father. Now, four years later, Alden returns to his home town to buy and take over the restaurant his grandparents owned before their deaths. Little does he know how much his life and plans will change in a short amount of time.At first, he's furious to find out about having a three year old girl, but after Natalie and Alden work out their perspectives, they find a way to their HEA.

Sweet and oh so romantic!!!!
I love brother’s best friend romances. There is just something about this trope that I can’t get enough of. I can honestly say this is one of my favourite reads. Alden and Natalie are pure perfection and I loved watching them fall in love. I loved the slow burn and gradual buildup to their romance, I loved the dual POV (it really allowed the reader to get a better read on how both characters were feeling) and Tatum absolutely stole my heart. I easily read this book in one night. It is sweet, romantic and oh so swoon-worthy. Don’t miss out on this incredible journey to happily ever after.

WOW, WOW, WOW!
First time I read LK Farlow and definetly not the last one. When I read the blub, it caught my attention immediately. Then, I read some comments that it's too focused on the child, but anyway I decided to read it, and I was truly surprised with this story. It's become one of my favorites. It's funny, romantic and with drama.I liked that the author focused on the child, too, because I've read similar plots, but they are focused only on the couple. What I enjoyed too, it's that, the author represented a 'normal' child, being loud, with tantrums and everything, and not the perfect child that I've usually read.I couldn't put it out, till I finished it! I assure you, you're going to enjoyed it.

A bloody great read
Author LK Farlow has given us another great read. I have read all of LK Farlow's books, and her writing just gets better and better. This time around the story concentrates on Natalie and Alden... Alden being the best friend of Natalie's older brother. The one night of drunken Whoopsie, ends up with an added bonus. The relationship/chemistry between the two main characters is perfect.I enjoyed this book from start to finish.Highly recommend you have a read
