TRUGLO 12 Gа Double-Threat CNC-Machined Dove Choke Tubes | Quickly Adjust for Long-Range Passing Shots or Close-Range Decoy Shots

Always wanted a polychoke to play around with, after some pattern testing it does put more shot in the center on the tighter setting.

I had to wait to review,but i love this for hunting doves,does what it is suppose to do.The only thing dislike unable or limited to other shotguns

Thought it might be junk, love the quick change for about modified to full in one click.. I could see someone injuring themselves if they weren’t careful and had bad habits with a loaded gun

This Tru Glo 12 gauge adjustable choke tube was purchased on a whim, since I had not seen anything like this except for old, fixed polychoke systems on mid-1900's guns. The "Double Threat Dove Choke" has a twist-adjustable outer housing that opens by twisting it one direction to "Decoy" and closes by twisting to the opposite setting, marked "Pass." This was bought to fit a mobil choke system for a Girsan MC312C, a Turkish-made inertia-driven Benelli copy. From the added photos, you can see the pattern density for both Decoy and Pass settings at 20, 30, and 40yds within a 30-inch circle. The Girsan was mounted on a firm rest to remove any possible recoil effects and the gun bead directly covered the one-inch dot within the circle. I used 12 gauge 2 3/4dram 7/8oz loads with #7 1/2 lead shot for each pattern target. As you can see, the gun patterns exactly like a typical Benelli Super Black Eagle, a little bit high in order to 'float the target' or see the target slightly above the gun barrel when the gun is aiming directly at the target. I expected the adjustable choke to open to something similar to an improved cylinder setting (~.720in) and also close to a modified choke setting (~.710in). However, when I measured both settings with a micrometer, the choke tube opened in "Decoy" setting to only .705in, which is comparable to an improved modified or light full setting and closed in "Pass" setting to .698in, which is slightly tighter than a typical full choke setting. I do like having the variation this choke tube provides; however, I believe that a gun with a light full or improved modified choke tube might produce the same results. If this choke tube had a wider range of two (or even more in-between) settings, it could have more value. Another caveat: This choke tube is strictly limited to lead shot, size #6 to #8 only. Any other type of shot could destroy the tube and possibly even the gun, according to warnings provided in the packaging.

Love the fact that you have the option to change constrictions without taking this choke tube off the muzzle of your shotgun. It looks really cool and works great. I would recommend this choke tube to anyone going hunting for waterfowl or upland birds. I am looking to buy another one for my father who has a Mossberg 20 gauge shotgun. I put mine on the Remington 870 express.

After hours delivery, who knows what you get. It's a surprise when they actually follow the instructions. Package out for delivery for 8 hours? Time gets pushed back further and further until tomorrow?

Amazing choke fits Charles Daly 12 gauge which is what I use. Very easy to change from close to long range. First time out with it had a better shot to kill ratio than any other time without it. Strongly recommend if you dove or pigeon hunt.
