Great memories of the Parker 51 !
The original Parker had sack to store ink, while the new Parker 51 has converter to store ink and the later is more convenient. I have original historical Parker 51, so I can say that the new model is not as smooth as the old one.

Smooth writer Remake of one of the great historic fountain pens. 51 stands for year the original 51 was developed in the lab. 1939 - 51 years after Parker was founded in 1888.

nib damaged very much unhappy and non satisfied of return policy this is not parker reputation of yesteryears i need the item tomorrow now it takes who knows how long to get back credit not fair

Poor design of nib and hood makes it look cheapest
This pen is a Parker 51 in name only. The designers of the nib and hood are at best a joke. The converter for using an ink bottle is puny. The cap is of excellent quality. Find the real 51. There are plenty around.
