a very useful and sturdy barometer you can afford
Useful and affordable portable barometer, Readings correlate with the current NOAA reports for my location seems durable. The black metric numbers are every small and may be difficult to read on the dark grey backgrounds to some with less than perfect vision. The scale lacks number at the extremes. Eg; no low pressure numbers below 980 millibars I use a magnifier to read the millibars on the grey background in poor lighting The inches of mercury numbers are larger

Works pretty good. Accurate.
Once calibrated, it stays accurate to the barometer on one of my weather apps.

Camco barometer does not work.
Camco barometer will not operate correctly. If you tap on the unit the reading will change, but it is still not correct. The reviews were mixed so I chanced it. Great idea, good looking product, but the one I received DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY. Yes the needle is very sensitive and can be persuaded by the most gentle taps on the outside housing. Also I did reset the reading multiple times and let it readjust for hours and days multiple times, but it continues to be inaccurate. The return process was a bit confusing but once I figured how to reach an Amazon representative via chat they were very helpful and I am now able to return it.

Would recommend to fishing buddies
The barometer works well.. have not had a chance to go fishing yet, as weather is miserably cold.

Not very accurate
Not very accurate. UPDATE; I took the cover off and sprayed some WD40 into it and it seems to work a little better.

Works well if you know what you are looking for
Works well. Not always a key factor when fish are biting, but helps when they arent

Not Very Accurate. Easily Knocked Off Target.
This barometer was harder to calibrate than its instructions suggested. Just by moving the needle into position with the back screw, a very light tap or any movement at all, really, could knock the needle off by up to .08 or so inHg. That's a lot. After futzing with it some more and tightening the screw all the way and back a few times and then calibrating again, I got it to where it takes a more moderate tap to knock it out of place and only by .02 - .04 inHg; still not great, honestly. Also, the needle sometimes sticks and REQUIRES a light tap to get it to move. Damned if you do. But other than that *eye-roll* it's a perfectly functional barometer and will keep pace with pressure changes, as you'd expect (tested about 900ft above sea level). Even so, its accuracy isn't that fine. It's only marked out by every .02 inHg and the needle is too fat to read anything finer than that, anyway. But if all you want is to track very broad pressure trends, I suppose this will do the job. I guess that's why it's marketed as a tool for fishing. If you need more precision than that, I definitely wouldn't recommend this one. As for its durability/use as a field tool: Well, it's got a thick, soft-plastic covering that seems pretty durable and should keep it in one piece if you drop it. Your calibration will be shot to hell if that happens, but at least it won't be broken. The tether it comes with is reasonably sturdy and about the right size to wear on your wrist or hang from a hook. It's too small to put around your neck.

My wife bought it for my birthday. I didn’t think it would work but after about a month later it made fishing more lucrative. I have it strapped on my backpack for fishing. I would recommend it
