I don't believe there are color choices. Mine were green

Q: Is the green portion of the toothbrush a hard plastic like a chewy plastic or a glass like plastic?

I would say hard plastic, but I am no plastic expert. The product is identical to those individual toothbrushes found in big box pet stores but a much better value. Also I would disagree with S.N. Comments on quality. I brush my dogs teeth every two days and change the brush once per month with this item. I would not expect either my toothbrush or my dogs toothbrush to last a year without replacing.
